Friday Wrap-Up with Bob: February 13, 2026

Hi, this is Bob Barney with the Friday Wrap-Up, and we want to go over the big news items of the week, and what they all could mean to you, and what maybe we can expect in the future. But we’ll get into the top breaking stories, and we’re going to go over what we covered all week long. And if we have time, and we usually do, at the end of the program we’ll go over what the weekend shows will be like, what we will have for the Sabbath show tomorrow morning, what we will have for tomorrow’s entertainment, and if possible, if I understand what the Sunday show will be.

But I want to take a side note and point out today is Friday the 13th, and so many people think that Friday the 13th is unlucky. Well, if you’ve been a reader and listener to ThePlainTruth.com, you know that Friday the 13th is very lucky, and it’s a symbol of the United States of America, and the identity of the nation of Israel. Please look at the main page today for a story concerning that issue.

And you will really learn the true identity of who the United States of America is in prophecy. I hint about this all the time, that America, the United States of America, is the most mentioned nation in prophecy in the Bible. But you got to know who we are in the Bible because we’re not called the United States of America.

Most of us grew up, this is from my article that I wrote that’s up today on the main page, most of us grew up hearing that the number 13 is unlucky. Hotels often skip the 13th floor. Many people feel a jolt of dread when Friday the 13th falls.

Well, basically, 13 is not a curse at all, but it’s a blessing. And if you understand the story of Joseph and his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, and the blessing that the patriarch Jacob, their grandfather, gave them almost upon his deathbed, you will understand who the United States is, and you will understand why the number 13 is the number of the United States of America.Because originally there was 12 tribes of Israel, and Israel is Jacob’s renamed.

When Jacob wrestled with God, and the God he wrestled with, by the way, was none other than Jesus Christ, who would become Jesus Christ anyway in the New Testament. He wrestled with Jesus Christ, who was God, his God, the Lord of the Old Testament, and he was beating him. Obviously, God was allowing him to do so.

And then he was given a blessing by this God, who is Jesus, and he said, what is your name? And Jacob said, my name is Jacob. And he said, no longer will your name be Jacob, it will be Israel, because you have fought with God, and you have won, because Jacob beat God in a wrestling match. I kind of think God let him, but it got him the name anyway.

And so Jacob had 12 sons, and they became known as the 12 tribes of Israel. And everyone to this day who has just a limited knowledge of the Bible knows about the 12 tribes of Israel. However, they do not realize there was actually 13 tribes of Israel after Jacob’s blessings of Joseph’s two sons, because he said almost upon his deathbed, let these sons be adopted by me.

So they become new tribes. The tribe of Joseph goes away, and he’s replaced by his two sons’ name, Ephraim, the younger, and Manasseh, the older. And what you learn about in this blessing is that Manasseh would be a great nation all over the world, like what Great Britain became under the Commonwealth, and that the younger son, Ephraim, would be the greatest single nation made up of a multitude of many nations inside of it, what is the United States, where you always talk about all the countries that are making up the American population, right? Isn’t that what we’re always talking about? Well, that was the and that it was said that Ephraim, the United States of America, which it is, it fulfills this prophecy, and he is the 13th tribe now of Israel.

Remember, Manasseh becomes Joseph’s 12th tribe, but it was broken into two, so now Ephraim, the younger, becomes the 13th tribe, and his number of identity is the number 13. Hence, America, 13 colonies, you look at the flag, 13 original stars. To this day, you have 13 red stripes, red and white stripes, you have on the seal of America, 13 arrows, 13 olive branches, 13 stars over the head of the eagle.

Everyone with a basic idea of America knows that the number 13 represents America. Now, the devil wants you to believe that 13 is an unlucky number, because the devil does not like the United States of America, nor does he like the modern state of Judah, which is called Israel improperly,because the name Israel belongs to Ephraim and Manasseh and not to the Jews. All Jews are atribe of Israel, but not Israelites are Jews.

That’s a concept that people just can’t understand, but that is the plain truth. But today, Friday the 13th is not unlucky. Friday is the preparation day before the Sabbath day, and the 13th is a lucky number, and every time you see the number 13, you should think of the United States of America and Bible prophecy, because we are the most mentioned nation in Bible prophecy, and never forget that.

And that is, like I said, there’s two articles up, one by William Dankenberg, and he goes really in-depth to prove the identity of Israel and who Ephraim and Manasseh is, because the Armstrongs and many other Anglo-Israelists have it reversed. They think America’s Manasseh, and they think England is Ephraim. It’s not true.

It’s the other way around, and between my article that’s on the plain truth today and the other article by William Dankenberg we put up, those two articles will absolutely prove and explain the identity of who the true nation of Israel is today. Well, anyway, we want to go on to the rest of the subjects and what we want to talk about now. We always talk about what the drive-by media is always doing.

They get on a story, and they say in that story for a week or two, and it’s like the only story you’re ever going to hear, but then when something else happens that gets their interest or better moves their agenda they’re trying to produce for the American people, or against the American people, I really should say, then they move on. The drive-by media moves on, and you forget all about it. I bet you right now nobody at MSNBC or CNN even remembers there were protests in Minneapolis, and there were ice raids going all over the place, and five-year-olds were being arrested, and then Holman took over, and everything seemed to quiet down.

But did it? That’s the question. Did it really quiet down, or is it that the Democrats and the people on the left who just want to make stories out of stuff that maybe they have a good point, and I did not agree with these ice raids in Minneapolis, but at the same time, isn’t it funny you don’t hear anything about it from the mainstream media because it is not conducive to what they’re trying to narrate against Donald Trump, or against Republicans, or against the American public in general. And so they moved on now to other stories, other stories they think will do better for their cause than what’s going on in Minneapolis.

And one of the things I think changed the whole narrative was this Alex Pretty guy who was shot and killed, and should not have been, but also what really kind of harmed the narrative was it turned out that he was not the peaceful, the peacenik they tried to make him out to be, that they had video of him confronting officers, spitting at them, kicking out the tail lights of the SUV they were driving in, and all around a pretty bad guy, breaking the law. He should have been arrested and probably if they did, he would still be alive. But they moved on because Tom Holman, who’s now in charge of that area, is actually respected by all sides, and so people do not see the reasonto try to belabor the point of Minneapolis when they got other stories, and Epstein’s back in thenews again, and we’ll talk about that in a minute.

And so these are the stories that you do not hear on your mainstream news at night. Here’s one you’re going to hear on the plain truth though. Here they would finally feel safe.

I didn’t want to risk something happening to us, and here it felt safer for my baby. Speaking exclusively to MS Now, Elvis said everything changed January 22nd when federal immigration agents cornered him outside his home as he returned from the grocery store with his daughter. I went out to buy food for my baby, and when I got home and parked, I realized they were behind me.

Elvis said when he saw the agents, he began driving around and called his wife, asking her to be ready to come outside and take their daughter. That never happened. There’s a video, maybe I can get it put up on the message board or maybe even under this Friday wrap-up, but it’s a video of the ICE agents arresting this two-year-old.

It’s on video, this two-year-old baby. They’re in the process of taking her away and really arresting her, and it actually gets a little worse. Agents had already surrounded the car.

Elvis said he locked the car doors, refused to lower the window, and held his daughter tightly. He says the agents didn’t have a warrant. My reaction was to lock the car and not open it.

They kept telling me to roll down the window or open the door. I just hugged my baby. Then one agent, I think he was Mexican, told me to call my wife so she could take the baby.

Elvis said he believed that if his wife came outside, agents would arrest her too, separating the family, potentially for months or years, or placing their daughter in state custody. So you thought it was a trap? Yes. Agents eventually broke the car window, cutting Chloe’s hand, then opened the door and arrested him, all while he was still holding his daughter with both arms.

He says Chloe didn’t receive medical care. DHS denied the allegation. So what happened here, if you didn’t hear clearly, was that when they broke the window, they actually cut the two-year-old girl’s arm, even though ICE denied that that was the case, but you can see it on video.

But anyway, all I wanted to point out in this little segment here is what’s going on in Minneapolis did not go away. Just the drive-by media’s coverage of it went away, because what we’re going to get into next after this brief timeout is the Epstein affair that will never go away, and the drive-bymedia can’t get away from that one, because it gets worse and worse and worse every turn of theroad. And like I was saying, the Epstein thing is never going to go away. If Donald Trump thinks it’s going to go away, I think he’s met his match. And now even more information came out with this last dump that came out last week, and here’s a story about some close people to Donald Trump that’s involved with Epstein that kind of maybe did not tell the truth about their involvement with Epstein over the years.

And here is a short report from Reuters. The latest Epstein document dump, supposedly the final one, lots of boldface names in there. Now, one of the biggest names from the latest release is Howard Lutnick, Trump’s Commerce Secretary.

He had been neighbors with Epstein back in New York City. He says that he had cut off ties with Epstein after 2005, when he visited Epstein’s house and saw a massage table. Epstein apparently made some sort of suggestive comment, and the way Lutnick tells it is that, okay, I’m done with this guy.

But these documents actually show that they stayed in touch after that. Lutnick, through the Commerce Department, says he had limited interactions with Epstein and that he didn’t engage in any untoward behavior. Now, the big name is Elon Musk, who reached out to Epstein asking if there were any big wild parties planned on his island.

It turns out that Musk didn’t attend. Musk was looking for a big party. Evidently, what Epstein had to offer was a bit more sedate.

There’s this discussion back and forth about whether the ratio on the island might upset Musk’s female companion. We don’t know what that means. This, like the interactions with Lutnick, came after Epstein had been pleaded guilty to sex crimes and had served a time in jail for it.

So, these are people interacting with Epstein after his activities were publicly known. So, anyway, there’s another story that I want to follow up with Musk firing back about Steve Bannon. The Hill.

Elon Musk has faced heat in recent weeks for being named in several documents of the newly released Epstein files. Now, he’s going on the offensive and joining those calling out former Trump advisor Steve Bannon for his apparent ties to Epstein. Messages between Bannon and Epstein unearthed by the DOJ’s release of more files shows that the two stayed in contact right up until the day Epstein was arrested in 2019.

Now, emails from Bannon show that he was in the process of producing a documentary about Epstein at the time to help rehabilitate his public image. And the late financier seemed to show an interest in helping Bannon spread his message of right-wing populism that helped get Donald Trump elected. A new report from CNN goes into greater detail saying, quote, in the days leading up to Epstein’s arrest in July 2019, the two men exchanged a steady stream of text messages veering from breezy banter and dark humor to more serious strategizing around Bannon’s efforts to foment a global populist movement.

Bannon had predicted with eerie precision that the populist uprising that would carry Trump to the White House, forecasting a middle-class revolt led by right-wing forces that would soon upend geopolitics, Bannon appeared to walk Epstein through his plans for a new center-right coalition, one that could outlast democratic elections for more than a decade. Elon Musk has been a vocal critic of Bannon over the past year and indeed before that as well. On Monday, he launched a string of posts repeatedly calling him evil and saying Bannon’s list of crimes is very long.

He also reposted several pictures of Bannon and Epstein together as well as posts from conservative commentators such as this one from the podcaster and youth pastor Alex Stone which says, Steve Bannon should be marked and avoided by everyone in the conservative movement. The more I learn about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the more I am disgusted and disturbed by the man. And then this one from the right-wing commentator Ian Miles Chong who reads, the fact that Steve Bannon was a Trump-hating degenerate and an ally who was trying to clear the good name of Jeffrey Epstein through the production of a documentary is only the tip of the filth-encrusted iceberg.

Bannon has been critical of the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files, questioning the DOJ’s commitment to transparency. As of Tuesday, he has not publicly responded to the recent comments from Musk and from others. So anyway, this banker goes back and forth and it’s not going to end and I don’t believe the drive-by media can end this story.

I don’t think anybody’s going to end this story. This story has legs. I’ve said this from day one and these legs ain’t going anywhere.

Thank you for listening. And we’re back for the final few minutes of the Friday wrap-up and the Guthrie story in New Mexico, Arizona, I’m sorry, Tucson, Arizona is about where it was last Friday. They have the video now that everybody’s watching of what looks to be the person that did it.

It’s kind of got me surprised because I thought it was either Mexican cartels or possibly a internal murder that was covered up by an alleged kidnapping. I don’t believe the woman is alive. I also don’t necessarily believe the person sending in the request for money for Bitcoins is actually the people that did anything because if that was the case, I think they would, if they really want some money, I think they would show proof of life and they’ve never been able to show proof of life.

I’m starting to believe the woman is not alive, but I have to tell you, I kind of do not understand what’s going on in this whole case. I don’t understand what’s going on between the sheriff and the FBI. There does not seem to be good cooperation.

The other day they found a black glove about, I guess, a half a mile or so from the house that looks like the glove that the video shows an alleged perpetrator was wearing, and they found that glove. The sheriff’s department, I guess, found it, and instead of giving it over to the FBI to send to the FBI crime lab, the sheriff decided to send it to an independent lab in Florida and showing that there is some kind of problem between this sheriff, who I will admit seems to be a buffoon, and the FBI, who I will also admit lately, especially under Kash Patel, has also seemed to be a buffoon. I don’t know what to believe here, but it’s quite obvious, and the reporters are reporting that they see a real rift between the sheriff’s department there and the FBI.

Remember, the sheriff’s department really does have the legal authority to rule the case, and so the FBI is only invited in as a guest. Now, I will say this. You just should understand this as well.

It is possible if it becomes a federal crime we’re talking about, interstate movement of the person or something like that, then possibly the FBI takes precedent and the sheriff is demoted to nothing. I don’t think that’s happened yet because the sheriff seems to still be trying to do his own thing against the FBI. So to me, it’s still a mess, and maybe by the weekend it’ll clean up.

I kind of doubt it, but the next story we got to really still talk about is what’s going on between the so-called peace talks between the Trump administration and the leaders, the snake of Iran. I always call it the snake, and we didn’t cut the head of that snake off last spring when we should have, but he’s moved another carrier over to the area, and now there’s two aircraft carriers off the coast of Iran, and we are promising if they do not agree to some sort of peace deal limiting theirnuclear weapons and their nuclear capabilities, or ending of them is what Trump said, we will annihilate them or their military capability, which we claim we did in the springtime and obviously proved to be another lie. I was telling my wife this morning on just a separate subject when it comes to the people surrounding this administration, the president of this administration.

This reminds me of the President Grant administration after the Civil War. President Grant was, I believe, an honest man and a good man, but when he became president, he decided that he wanted people around him he could trust. Does that sound like Donald Trump this time, 2.0? And so he surrounded himself with ex-military buddies, and they were all crooks.

They only cared about themselves. Nobody cared about what was best for either President Grantor America. There was a story.

One of the things that people don’t know about George Custer and Custer’s last stand was that Custer was a vocal critic of the Grant administration because of the vast corruption going on in the military. A company, which I believe, and I may have this fax wrong, but it’s similar. It’s good enough for this show.

The company that was selling bacon and food to the military was actually owned by, I believe, the Secretary of Interior or some cabinet-level member. His son or his family owned the companyselling food to the military, and Custer testified to Congress about the corruption of this company. They would sell bacon, for example, to the military by the pound, but strips of bacon would be wrapped around granite rocks, slabs of granite.

So they were buying bacon by the pound and granite by the pound as bacon, and this was the kind of corruption going on. Then when you opened it up, the bacon was usually rancid. The food had worms in it.

The Indians on reservations ate better, and that’s not saying much because they were starved to death. But our military, they sold weapons that did not work. People don’t realize this, but in Custer’s Last Stand, for example, the soldiers were using single-shot Remington rifles.

Single shot. They shot one, and they had to reload. Shoot another, and they reload.

The Indians, by the way, they had repeating Winchester rifles. They could shoot six shots before they had to reload their rifles, and so one Indian equals six soldiers, and there was a thousand warriors and only 300 soldiers. So you can understand why that massacre happened.

Another thing that some historians believe is one of the reasons Custer took the position, some ofthe bad positions that he took that caused the Little Bighorn and didn’t listen to his own scouts was that he was court-martialed, really, on bogus charges because of his testimony against the Grant administration. Does that sound like politics today in Washington? You talk against Trump, and all of a sudden, you’re court-martialed. They try to do something to you, like a senator from Arizona.

Well, he was court-martialed, and he should not even have been at the Little Bighorn because he was out of the service. He was facing court-martial. He was already court-martialed, and through political connections that his wife had, he was reinstated, and just three or four months before the Battle of the Little Bighorn, and so he went back to Fort Lincoln in the Dakotas and prepared for the spring campaign, and many people believe he acted very differently after the court-martial, and he acted much more brazen and much more with hatred towards a lot of people, and so some people think that clouded some of his decisions, which led to an ultimate disaster, but again, fractured history.

People don’t realize he was one of the greatest generals and the youngest general of the Civil War, the second youngest general ever in the United States Army. At 23 years old, he became general from lieutenant, and he was the only general of the Union Army other than maybe Sheridan and Grant that won every single battle he was in, and he led from the front. He was no coward, and he was no fool.

He was awarded the table that Grant and Lee, and Lee surrendered and signed his surrender papers. General Sheridan was given that table by General Grant, and Sheridan gave it to Custer’s wife, saying, I know no man of this war to help bring about the end of this war as your husband did. Just think about that.

The corruption going on today in Washington, D.C. is just, you can’t believe anything, and that’s what I was saying. I got carried off on a history moment here, but you can’t believe anything that comes out of this administration. Everything they say ends up being a lie.

I’m sorry to say that, but it all ends up being a lie, and their statistics are lies. They try to say thisis the greatest economy ever. I mean, he’s actually ruining his Trump 1.0 economy, which was a good economy.

Everything they say is a lie. It’s like listening to Biden or Obama. The word rhino really applies to the Trump administration, Republican in name only, because he is not running as a Republican or a conservative or an America first.

He’s actually running like a Democrat would run. I know that bothers a lot of people, but look at where you believed in 2018 when you were a Trump supporter and see if you believe the same thing today, because I guarantee you if you’re still a Trump supporter, you do not believe what you believed in 2018 today, because you’re following a different line. You could pass as a Democrat if you follow everything they say is going on and what you should do and all the interventions around the world you should get into.

Well, anyway, that’s the Friday wrap-up for the week. Not that much really happened, but that is the wrap-up, and we want to get into this weekend shows. We have, again, tomorrow is the Sabbath day.

If you want to have the Ten Commandments posted in every school and every courthouse in America, maybe the people who want that should follow the Ten Commandments themselves, because the fourth commandment is what? Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Well, Sunday is not the Sabbath day. Any biblical encyclopedia will prove that point to you, not Bob Barney, any of them.

Tomorrow’s the Sabbath day. It’s the day that God set apart for you to worship him, not Sunday. Sunday is the devil’s day.

It’s the day of the sun, the false God. But tomorrow morning, we have a really special, it’s a long, it’s longer than normal Sabbath show, 7.11 a.m., and it’s somewhat hard to listen to, but it is a speech by Corrie Temboom about the greatest love, and she’s very broken accent. She’s Dutch.

She was the person that the Hiding Place movie, which I talk about a lot, was based upon, and a very brave woman, and she lived through the Holocaust, and they were in prison for hiding Jews, and she lived a tremendous life, was born and died on Passover. I think that’s a blessing from God in its own right. Then Friday, tomorrow night, 7.11 p.m., our entertainment show is going to be something for old-timers like me that remember this show, but it’s the very first pilot episode of I Dream of Jeannie, one of the prettiest actresses ever to grace Hollywood and television screen.

Barbara Eden, I believe it’s black and white. The pilot wasn’t even in color yet, and it was a barnbuster of a time. First woman ever show a belly button on TV, and that caused an uproar, but it’s going to be the very first I Dream of Jeannie, and then Sunday, we’re going to have a two-way episode with Mark Halperin that kind of sums up the week’s news as well, and that will be the Sunday 7.11 a.m. show, so hope everyone has a safe and blessed weekend and Sabbath day.
