Hi! This is Bob Barney. Good morning! It is 7:11 on The Plain Truth Today Podcast.

A little bit of tidbits that I think are interesting for today’s show, a little bit of an offbeat show than normal. I let everyone know that my real job is that my wife and I own an automotive, marine, and fleet paint company where we manufacture paint. Today’s show is a little bit of fractured history. I always say that if you do not know your history you are destined to repeat the mistakes of history. Too many people today do not know their history and base their lives on what they think they know and sometimes on fractured history…history that never existed.

For example…I think people understand about taxation and the Revolutionary War, “no taxation without representation”…and I mentioned a few weeks ago how this war was really fought for Liberty. It was the reason why the colonist’s wanted to separate themselves from England. A little-known fact on this topic is what started this war was a tax that the English government imposed on the American colonies to help support their involvement in the French and Indian war that took place ten years before the Revolutionary War.

Back in the early 1760’s, the French had Canada and the 13 original colonies, and the western lands like the Pittsburgh area in PA, the far west is what that was back then…but England went to war against France who had aligned themselves with many Indian tribes from the Midwest. George Washington was a colonel at this time in the French and Indian War and studied under General Gage of the English Army when he was in this army himself. His knowledge of English tactics and especially that of the brutality of Gage, gave Washington very good insight as to how he was to fight him during the Revolutionary War.

A little-known fact about the Stamp Act was that it was a tax on certain things that the English Parliament decided to tax American colonies that they knew they could not do without. So, this Stamp Act put a stamp on certain issues and items mostly that were made in England or in English colonies elsewhere around the world. The Americans loved some of these products. We know about the Boston Tea Party or at least we think we do, but the Stamp Act put a tax on all printed goods like Almanacs and newspapers and magazines so there was a stamp placed on everything you would buy, like today. If you go and buy a bottle of liquor and over the top of the cork is a stamp from the state or the federal government and if you do not have that stamp it is an illegal bottle of liquor and you are probably a moonshiner or a bootlegger, hah, and that is like what The Stamp Act did.

A little side note that interests me as I am a historian and what I went to college for what history and political science…not paint that I wound up having as my business with…but one of the items taxed with this Stamp Act believe it or not was PAINT. There were no paint manufacturers at the time in the 1750s in the colonies so all of the paint being imported into America from England is what we painted our barns and homes with. One of the largest if not the largest consumer of paint was George Washington. He also had one of the largest sellers of liquor distillers in America. These products were stamped with the Stamp Act. Washington was not very happy about this and especially about the paint because he was such a large consumer of it, Mount Vernon wound up having a full-time paint crew…how many people know this that the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, they never stop painting it. When the paint crew finishes painting which takes several years to paint it, they start all over again. So, this bridge and many other big bridges like the George Washington bridge or any of the suspension bridges, they have a full-time paint crew who is always painting. George Washington had a full-time paint crew at Mt Vernon painting everything. Back them all paint was milk based and they would put a colorant sometimes of zinc oxide or a red color and they would make paint out of it. That is where the word whitewash came from because it was a whitewash or paint that you would paint everything with. It would last a year or two at the most so people were constantly painting their homes or barns…or Mount Vernon. So, levying a tax on paint was probably one of the more serious taxes that the Americans really despised.

We know that there was also The Samp Act having put a tax on tea. That is where we get the idea of the Boston Tea Party but there is really a paint connection with them because newspapers and magazines, almanacs, liquor, paint, tea…had a special tax on it to help the English pay for the French and Indian War which they said (which was partly true) the American colonies owed…however the colonies were like spoiled brats and a lot like voters today. They were not used to paying taxes.

They moved to the New World and within 100 years or so they became Americanized. They were not used to British Law when it comes to taxation. Parlaiment basically left the American colonies alone as we were an afterthought. After The French and Indisan War and England was deeply in debt, Parliament decided they needed to tax the Americans for the war they fought for the American cause. The Americans didn’t see things the same way. They didn’t think they needed to pay these taxes because they didn’t have representation in Parliament. That is where we get that phrase taxation without representation.

This is not a plug for my business, I am not even giving you the name, but a lot of this revolved around paint and I am a history nut and love to learn about history and those that made history. I find you can learn a lot through knowing these details.

Another fact some main not know entirely, but Reagan was the butt of many jokes when he was president. The media tried to make Reagan into who Biden is today. They tried to make him out to be a senile old man who didn’t accomplish much in life, a B actor, and that he was not a good actor…but the fact was he was a very good actor.

In 1980, George Bush named Reagans Reaganomics, “Voodoo Economics” when he ran against him for the nomination, the Reagan economic plan of the 1980s pulled America out of a decade long depression or recession as they called it. Reagan called a Recession when your neighbors are out of work but a Depression is when you are out of work but that there really is no difference.

America under Jimmy Carter was in as much of a bad situation as we are today. The modern press, Sam Donaldson and others like to ridicule Reagans inexperience’s when it comes to economics. That he really didn’t know what he was doing and that his economic plan would fail. Of course, we had some of the greatest growth under Reaganomics that this country had ever seen. A little note, the press did not tell you though some important things. Ronald Reagan had a college education. What did he study in college aned what was his major? It was economics. The media referred to him as the “lifeguard”. NO one in the media wanted the Americans to know that in fear that then the populus would think oh maybe Reagan does know what he is doing.

Reagan was a lifeguard in his life and they tried to make it seem like he was nothing special. Did you know though that he saved the lives of 77 people and that is accredited to his lifeguard duties. They made him out to be just a B action lifeguard. Here he was an exceptional human when it came to savings lives and his knowledge of economics. A point of history that might not take you anywhere but I am trying to make a point…

My point is this…the press, the mainstream media has been communist and socialist oriented for over 70 years. It started with Franklin Delanor Roosevelt administration. Most of the media hate the Republican economics which has afforded us the best economic times in history in America. Even under DJT. What I am trying to point out is that the press knows the facts that they often do not tell you would possibly change your opinion and if they are history buffs like I am and find little fascinating tales…like the few I am sharing in this broadcast today.

In WWII there were a lot of lessons to learn from that war, but a little-known fact, everyone knows that the fight to liberate Europe under General Eisenhower, that we prepared a few years for, we prepped for an invasion of the European mainland. When the war first started and American entered, WWII was already going on, we took to war though in Africa first, then to Sicily next. We were not going after the mainland because the German’s especially off the coast of France, the Netherlands, Denmark, well the Germans just had tremendous defense systems difficult to overcome.

Generals under Eisenhower for months and years planned on D Day. We all know the story of D Day as we have watched movies like Saving Private Ryan from about 25 y ears ago…but one of the trivia questions you can ask is what does the D stand for in D Day? Believe it or not, it stands for Day. If spelled out it is Day Day. Just a fraction history lesson there that doesn’t mean much but I thought that I would point that out.

We now go to the war between the states or the Civil War under Abraham Lincoln. The union fought the south under Jefferson Davis, and we are told how horrible the confederacy was and how it just has been a stain or a mark on blacks because of black slavery. There is a fractured history of the south. Some things the sour represented and some of the things that the south was fighting for was not slavery but state rights and a smaller federal government. That is why it is called a confederacy. They wanted a confederate order of states, they did not want what we had in America at the time and still to this day a federal government that had more power than state governments. That became a contention that eventually led to the Civil War. One of the points that often is overlooked by historians mentioning this war is that most of the black slaves fought for the confederacy when they were freed by their confederates! That took the union leaders by surprise and the emancipation proclamation was really to try and get blacks to join the union. Many did and many were heroic fighters for the Union, but did you know that the Constitution of the Confederate Staes of America banned the slave trade? They didn’t ban slavery but actually outlawed the slave trade. You think of these confederates as KKK hood wearing evil people who just wanted to cause harm to all black people in America when actually that probably is not the truth. The truth always lies somewhere in the middle.

Did you know when this war started, the Confederate General, Robert E. Lee didn’t own one slave. Did you know that General Grant that took over the Union Army held slaves and even after Lincoln emancipated them, Grant did not give up his slaves?

Just a point of history that sometimes the media and historians bend in order to make sure we come away with different ideas of how history really played out.

If you grew up in the 50s and 60s as some of us old timers did…we remember watching the Daniel Boone TV show and Fess Parker played him and wore a coonskin hat. We believed to this day that Boone wore a coonskin hat and that so did Davey Crokett. Davey was recently in a Disney movie wearing one however, Davey Crockett wore at times a coonskin hat but based on popular belief, Boone not only never wore one, but he detested them and wore a very eastern felt cap.

This is another example of how we get fractioned history in the movies we watch. Often Hollywood rewrites history to act in a way in presenting history to us through the lens of a producer. That is oftentimes not factual representation.

Let’s discuss a mistake of the press…they have always taken a start role in reporting the news where they become the actors in the news, not just reporters. The press loves to be movie stars themselves. We saw this in regard to the so-called Watergate scandal. For you younger people out there, Watergate at the time in the mid 70s, was the biggest scandal to rock Washington DC EVER if you watched tv We had live hearings on TV about what Nixon knew and how did he know it. When you compare what Watergate was about to what Obama did to the press, to the other people, and the civil rights he took away from people and look at what Biden is doing to take away the rights of the people making The Bill of Rights a roll of toilet paper. We see that Nixon did not commit one crime, but other people broke crimes that broke into the Watergate Hotel were of the democrat party and they had their headquarters and secret papers…they were not going to win the election in 1972 anyways…in this election, Nixon won by the hugest landslide in the history of elections to this day. Reagan did not get more electoral votes than Nixon, neither did Trump or any other president. The most popularly elected president by the college of electors and most popular president that we ever had was Nixon in 1972. Within two years, the left leaning communist press got him removed from office through lies and stories that were completely made up.

The Woodward/Bernstein movie that you watch and all of the things we think we know about Watergate are all lies. Did you know that Bob Woodword was a naval intelligence officer and was actually planted in the Washington Post in order to get Richard Nixon. Nixon was a devout anti-communist. From the beginning of his political career in the late 40s as a House of Representative member, he outed so many communists in the Truman administration that Nixon was absolutely despised by Hollywood and by the democratic party at the time who were both full of communists as is the case today.

Nixon was on the hitlist right from the beginning. They tried to make him into some scandal wracked politician that just did not have an honest bone in his body when in fact Nixon had more honesty going for him than the likes of a Joe Biden will ever have. Do you know that the five or six people that were caught in the break-in were CIA agents? Yes, they were deep CIA agents that were supposedly breaking in for the Nixon reelection campaign but put there to get caught. They broke into the Watergate Hotel in fact twice. Each time it was their intent to be discovered and arrested. The first time they broke in because of an inept security guard they had to do it again in order to get caught. Did you know this?

The CIA was a part of the democrat strategy to 1) get rid of JFK with a bullet, and 2) to get rid of Nixon in any way possible and we are seeing that again with the trials of Donald J Trump.

Did you know that one of the men that broke into the Watergate Hotel was not only a CIA agent, his name is E. Howard Hunt, but Hunt on his deathbed to his own son confessed he was one of the three men on the grassy knoll that shot JFK for the CIA. He said that Lee Harvey Oswald was just a patsy who was also a CIA agent. A double agent. Our deep state used Oswall as a patsy to kill Kennedy who was pulling us out of the Vietnam War before we even got into it because he was told by his former boss, General MacArthur earlier not to get into a ground war in southeast Asia because we will never win unless we go nuclear. So, Kennedy was getting ready to get rid of the American involvement in Vietnam. What ended up happening is he got involved with bullets fired by CIA people and one of which was also involved in the Watergate break-in. If that doesn’t raise anyone’s eyebrows about what is going on, I have no clue what can!

It is as plain as the nose on anyone’s face when somebody dies and gives a death bed confession it is usually the truth or as I would say, The Plain Truth!

Yet, we see the same deep state working against DJT now, with made up facts, made up trials, made up press articles and stories that always turn out to be false. The whole Russian dossier turned out to be a democrat Hillary Clinton plant. You don’t hear that anymore unless it is from some of the more conservative right-wing sites that still report on that, but nobody really hears anything about all of the made-up things.

Remember when Trump said he was being spied on and the press said he was some kind of a maniac that thought everyone was out to get him? It turned out they were spying on him, and everyone just forgot about this fact, and he was right. Everything that DJT said was going on, WAS GOING On. The media was complicit, the CIA and FBI was complicit and the democratic party and congress was complicit and January 6 that was planned, not by the January 6 protestors, no, it was infiltrated by FBI and CIA agents that did all of the damage that day and Nancy Pelosi actually orchestrated all of this. Even her own daughter admitted to that and interviewed that her mother was largely responsible for January 6th.

Little known facts.

Again, when we do not learn our history, we area always doomed to repeat our history. That is what this show is really about.

Even though there are some little funny points of history that we do not know, the idea is really why do we not know these things?

For example, why do we not know that America is Lost Israel. Let’s say it is totally mythological and not true? We have a lot of movies that are based on mythological movies made up but no one in Hollywood even dares to give the story of the Stone of Destiny that is under the throne of every monarch’s toosh that has ever sat down. Look up the Stone of Scone. Look that up and you will realize that is the same stone that Jacob, Abraham’s grandson, used as a pillow the night he had his dream The Stairway to Heaven. Watching angels coming up and down from Heaven. He knew that God was with him that night and that stone became sacred to the Israelites and took that stone wherever they went. That stone from the prophet Jeremiah ended up in Ireland, Scotland and England Right now it is back in Scotland but when there is a coronation of a king or queen it will be brought back. You can see the picture of it right online. It is fascinating. Why are people unaware of this and what it represents. Why don’t the people that know this as fact make a science fiction movie using this in it, or a Raiders of the Lost Ark movie about it? Because it is a part of history that is true and the powers that be do not want you to know.

Who are the powers that be? Who is behind the media? Who is the Prince of the Airways according to the Bible? No one other than Satan. The Apostle Paul said that the airways are full of the message of Satan the devil. When you are sitting in a room, there are hundreds of TV stations beaming into your brain, but your ears cannot pick it up, but that wave is there and if you had the right tuner, you could hear it.
