Like the Days of Noah (Transcript)

Jesus Christ once said that the end times would be like the times of Noah. This was a time when people were unaware of this happening right up until the moment that Noah and the seven people with him, entered into the ark and the flood came.

What is it about Noah’s flood that Jesus saw the need to compare the end times to?

Hi, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today and I want to go into a news story because again, the Bible is not religion, it is news and full of news events. The flood of course did happen, and it was a news event that wiped out most of the living creatures on the face of the earth. But what was it that Jeus is referring to when He said that it would be a time like Noah? What was going on in Noah’s time that would be a comparison of what is going on today, or frankly, what is going to be going on in the future when the end time approaches?

I did not really study for this show, this is off the top of my show, but I have some thoughts that are important for you to consider. We think when we watch these movies of Noah’s Ark and the flood that these were primitive caveman type people that built this massive boat with the instruction from God. That they made it out of wood and coated it with pigeon tar, but no one really knows what the Hebrew word pigeon comes from so it could be different.

But the thought is that these primitive people built the ark and got all of these animals onboard with very little help with the exception of the help from God. It is no wonder why people think it is a fairytale. The way even the churches present this happening of scripture and how he churches tell this story, we can see why, too. They are partly responsible for making us believe it was primitive cavemen.

I am going to explain my belief and I will tell you this is my idea of what happened and most of what I am going to tell you is not in the Bible so take my opinion as a grain of salt. I just ask that you listen to my point of view and maybe you will see that I have some legitimate points.

What could it be that Noah’s time equals the time of the end?

The end time by the prophet Daniel would be a time when learning would increase. We have the internet and the search engines; can we deny that the knowledge has increased a billion-fold in just 10 years. What was available to people 100 years ago was no way comparable to the knowledge that is available at everyone’s fingertips today. All that we have wasn’t even around 30 years ago. So much innovation I have seen in my lifetime makes it almost impossible how I lived in the 70s without a cell phone, but I did…and so did everyone else.

We have to think for a minute when Jesus was talking about the end time and Jesus is God by the way and He had foreknowledge of the end times, he saw a time of jet air craft or even UFO’s with antigravity mechanisms to fly…there are all sorts of fusion reactors in the processors and all kinds of science that is going to make travel possible at almost the speed of light. There are all kinds of knowledge that is going to increase which will bring about the destruction of mankind and a holocaust nuclear world war that Christ has to come back and save us from ourselves over.

When we think about the flood, we have to think about who these people were as they were about 1000 years old as mankind was just placed on the earth 1000 years before Noah…in fact, most of the people’s names before Noah which is a very interesting study and if I can find it I will put it on the Sabbath day sometime, but the names of how many people died in the book of Genesis because of the flood! It was quite a few because these people were killed by the flood. What was it about these people and what did they know that God found it necessary to not only wipe put the human race but wipe out every living creature on land as well. Not in the water by the way, but just land.

Sci Fi question of the day…could it be that the people at the time of Noah were advanced or even more advanced than the people of today?

With the way we claim the pyramids were made, it was impossible to make them. Anyone can do a very quick search and realize without modern equipment today we could easily make the pyramids. But those that claim how the pyramids were made really is impossible. That is how you get the idea presented that aliens helped them build them, which is nonsense, but I am suggesting that there was a knowledge and an intelligence at that time that increased rapidly in the first 1000 years of mankind because there was not death. There were very few people dying. People lived these incredible long-life spans of 600 to 900 years…take Methuselah, he was 969 years old when he died.

I suggest that knowledge increased much more rapidly than what it has done in our time because people who gain knowledge and take it to the grave when they die. Think about all of the knowledge that Nikoli Tesla took to the grave with him. He was talking about getting electricity for free from the sky and you could light up cities and homes and farms with free electricity from the sky! It was so real and possible that his major backer of the day decided not to back Tesla because he couldn’t find a way to make a profit giving away electricity that was free in the air. So, when you have people living incredibly long lives when they just don’t die, the knowledge is still there alive with other people thinking so you have a bunch of old people honestly comparing notes and so, they in their first 1000 existence have gained knowledge of science and other mathematical questions that we maybe don’t even have today. I believe that Noah’s Ark is not the Ark that we see in the movies or even the picture I have of Noah’s Ark with the rainbow over it in my office. Maybe Noah’s Ark was one of the most advanced ships of the day that it might even be advanced in our day.

David Fasold discovered him and Vendal Jones discovered what I believe to be the actual and true place of Noah’s Ark resting place, you can see it right now searching Noah’s Ark/Armenia…you will see the studies by those two men where they found iron patterns that the ark had a rib structure of iron…not of wood. Is it possible that Noah’s Ark was as modern or more modern than most ships we have today? Were men able to fly around in airplane type apparatus’ in the time of the first people on earth before the patriarchs? Were they may be doing genetic experiments like we have today like Dolly the Sheep born in a test tube some thirty years ago and messing around with DNA so much that they were creating creatures that we maybe see as dinosaurs, or no loner see in existence today but see their fossil record and bones? Was God maybe experimenting trying to make huge beasts and trying to manipulate DNA and bodies that are not alive today but skeletons of people who were 9-12 feet tall…how did they get that tall? Were they that tall and we degenerated into a lower heighted people or was there genetic engineering going on and playing God? Were they playing with animals and humans DNA like we are doing today and all sorts of medical experiments like today? Were they so far ahead and able to do discoveries that are just unimaginable today that we think the minds of those people were capable of doing? I believe there is a case to be made that the people before the flood were more advanced of a civilization than what is fact today?

What about Atlantis? Case in point. We think Atlantis is a fairytale and a part of Greek Mythology. Yet, there are many archeologists and scientists as well as historians that believe there was a place called Atlantis that had a very advanced civilization. It was written about by the Greek philosophers and a real place. Maybe it was in the Atlantic Ocean as there is a ridge of mountains that go down the center of that ocean. If you drained that ocean, you could see a massive mountain range that if receded like before the flood it would be a huge mountain range. Could that be Atlantis? Maybe.

My point is for some reason as this should make you at least question why Jesus would compare a very modern end times with all this advanced civilization, why would he compare it to the time of Noah unless maybe they too were living in a very advanced civilization far more advanced than we ever thought possible. I think you will find that it is very possible that the very things we are doing today because history just repeats itself of course, one of the themes I keep saying in past broadcasts is when you do not know your history and some of it has been erased by the way and I suggest not because of our fault, much of history is erased because of our fault, but this history was erased because of a flood. It was not to be taken on the ark and recorded because God did not want man to advance so quickly again as did before the flood where He could destroy the earth again.

Was there a nuclear bomb before the ark and were people working with atomic energy or fission and fusion? Possibly? I do not doubt that it cannot have been the case.

Remember the God of this world is Satan the devil. We had a show about that about a year ago. You can go to the Bible and do a search for where Paul says that the god of this world is Satan. He says that he inspires the people of the world, and he obviously was very smart, one of the 4 fallen angels…was a brilliant, beautiful angel of God until he rebelled…so he has the knowledge of God. What did he promise Eve when she ate of the fruit? That God was lying to her number one, and that she would be like God knowing good and evil. So, my idea is that Satan along with his demons did everything they could do in the first people, deceiving them and giving them hidden knowledge that God knew and knows that isn’t good for us to know. That is why God did not want Adam and Eve to partake of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Because God understood that the carnal mind will gravitate toward evil. God was trying to protect Adam and Eve from falling into the trap of the devil and choosing an evil but what they call even an evil genius path of destruction. It just seems a practical thing to me that the reason that Jesus did compare the two times is the same, is because of the advancement of civilization before the flood and the loss of civilization after the flood.

We have a semi modern day example of this called the Dark Ages. This was when Rome was in a very advanced state, not as advanced as us, but for the time of 500AD time, Rome was just very advanced. Their warfare and ships, weaponry and knowledge of building roads and aqueducts, they were very advanced. Then Rome fell. We had a show on Is America like Rome and are we going to fall, which we are…but when Rome fell to the barbarian invasion the world was plunged into a Dark Age. All of the knowledge of building these great big buildings and archways as well as aqueducts was lost. If not for the monks which there were no monks after the flood because if there was, they would have been drowned because they weren’t on the ark, writing down what they did and doing the work that they did during the Dark Ages, we would have no history of what the Roman Republic and Empire was all about.

Without the Bible we would have no idea of ancient Israel and Egypt, Assyria and Babylon. So, we do owe much of the knowledge that we have that kept us out of the dark ages and brought us into the Middle Ages and then eventually into the Age of Enlightenment because of the Roman Catholic Church…you have heard me disparage this church because they are the Babylonian Mystery Religion spoken of in the Bible, but the monks did keep that knowledge alive. Believe it or not, Satan the devil wanted to keep that knowledge alive as well because he wanted to make sure that man progressed as quickly as possible after the fall of Rome and be able to destroy the world before too many years would go by again.

There is the whole idea of how the knowledge of Rome made it through the Dark Ages but the point I wanted to make is that they were DARK Ages. What happened after the flood was another kind of a dark age planned by God. It was brought about by Noah himself because Noah was a man of God, he listened to and obeyed God…and I am sure God would have told Noah that he was to take nothing on the ark of the former world and what it was like therefore Naoh descendants would not try to duplicate that. And what do we see after one or two generations after this, we see the town of Babel and the advancements being made because the people had one language still on the earth and they were making a skyscraper trying to get to Heaven. One of the theories is that they were trying to make a skyscraper that was taller than the flood water on earth. Therefore, if God sent another flood on earth the king could run up to the top and not be swept away. Why didn’t they build an ark himself? Maybe they didn’t have the technology.

What does God say amongst themselves, I say themselves because they are two beings that we call God. First of all, there is the God that we refer to as Jesus Christ that is the Word or the spokesman of the Godhead. There is then another member of the Godhead called God the Father who became God the Father when Jesus stepped down from His position from being a co-equal God with God the Father and became His Son, and literally physically on earth became so and keeps that status to this day…then we have the Father and Son relationship when before the fall of man, we had a co-equal Godhead. God the Father and Jesus were equal at a time. But Jesus for the love of His creation, who is you and me, Christ made us, and we are made in His image and because of His love for us He stepped off His pedestal as a co-equal God with the Father who became the Father and He himself became the Son of God. Today he is seated at the right hand of the Father and is not equal to God the Father any longer. We owe a lot to that fact.

The idea that Jesus Christ did this for us to save us from this knowledge, would tell us that the same Jesus Christ that was speaking to Noah would make sure that nothing was brought on the ark that would cause people to rapidly progress. What we saw with the Tower of Babel is that they were rapidly progressing because of one language. When the two Gods are talking to each other they are saying look at what man is doing, so let’s go down and confuse them, Babylon means confusion, so God went down and destroyed the tower and broke up the language into many languages so people could not think together or work together, then people started separating around the world based on language. People who don’t speak the same language do not stay together for very long.

Again, this is nothing you are going to find in the Bible, and I do not want people running off thinking this is a new form of religion here, I am just pointing out something that I think it is very important. Could it be that Jesus compared the time of the end with the time of Noah because of this rapid advancement we are making today in science, and medicine and health which are not really advancements at all, in fact they could end up enslaving us to these same people who are trying to turn us into robots and slaves and replace us with robots as well with this so called AI. I always like to laugh about AI because anyone who tries to use it calling a bank for help or a company for help, has to get through a robot telephone operator that makes you almost pull your hair out. Sometimes this artificial intelligence is not very intelligent at all. It is really artificial unintelligence. It can lead to the massive destruction that is coming whether you believe it or not. And if you do not believe the stories of the Bible are not true you are making a big mistake. The Bible is accurate and time and time again historians and archeologists claim that this story in the Bible is not true however, just last week on The Plain Truth, we reported that the walls of the City of David was built at the time of Hezekiah and that King David did not build them as the Bible says…and what did they find? They found the walls and dated them and even say religious and atheist archeologists and scientists admit that the walls around the city of David came from he time of David and can do so by inscriptions mentioning David and his kingdom and they can also tell by the pottery and the timeframe the pottery was made inside of these walls. Again, the point is that the Bible turns out to be 100% accurate in their description of the past and what we believe was accurate about the past turns out to be plain wrong.

It has been done time and time again and we had a show about this on the Sabbath recently, that up until the 60s, major theologians said that Jesus Christ never walked on the face of the earth, it was a figment of our imagination and there are no references to Jesus other than the New Testament and that was just wrong. There were many antichristian sources that mentioned Him and we know that Jesus did exist…and the movement in the 60s was the Jesus was a code word for a mind altering mushroom during the LSD days but it turns out that Jesus was a real human being who lived on this earth and died for our sins, resurrected to Heaven, is in Heaven today, seated at the right hand of the Father and is our Savior who will be coming back to this world to save us.

As we wrap up this show of the idea that maybe the reason that Christ compared the time, we are starting to live in to the time of Noah could be because our whole concept of ancient man is totally wrong. Just like we have been wrong about nearly everything else that the Bible claims and our scientists keep having to change their stories about what is history. I keep saying that the Bible is 100% in its original translation is the Word and the thoughts of God. God does exist and God is a part of the news. God is in fact the greatest newscaster that ever was. God is the biggest newsmaker and still is that will ever be! In a moment’s notice God can change the course of world history and has done so many times. We just don’t recognize it. We do not recognize it because we want to live in a secular world, and we don’t want to attribute everything to God as the ancients did or even the American Indians did. The American Indians realized that everything in nature and everything in their life had to do with God. They weren’t far off. They understood nature is proof of a living Creator God. Anyone that comes away as an atheist is really a fool. The Bible calls atheists’ fools. Also, they Bible calls them lovers of death and isn’t it amazing that atheists, communists, leftists’ leaders are for abortion, and euthanasia and death!

Just the thought from The Plain Truth today…could the flood times be very similar to the times we are living in now and going into…that they were a very advanced culture and maybe even more advanced than we are today.

We try to bring a lot of points to The Plain Truth that people don’t think about all the time, and I encourage you to first prove that God exists which is easy to do, then once you do that you then have to prove if the Bible is the word of God…just even with fulfilled prophesy that is easy to do…I think a lot of the people who listen to this broadcast believe in God. If you do, then you have to believe what the Bible says and live a life and understand that the Bible is a recording of history’s news stories and a prediction of tomorrows news stories.
