It’s Time We Hold the Media Accountable for Treason (Transcript)

LISTEN TO BOB BARNEY’S 7:11 BROADCAST: IT IS TIME TO HOLD THE MEDIA ACCOUNTABLE FOR TREASON

Here is a quote from the Marx Brothers from about 75 years ago, “who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?’. Well, it seems when it comes to the mainstream media, it is that they want you to believe what they say and not what your eyes see for yourself.

They have made a practice of doing this now for almost 50 years or maybe even more than 50 years! After all, Walter Cronkite was instrumental in us losing the Vietnam War when he turned against the war…supposedly. A communist sympathizer he was…all along.

This is Bob Barney for the Plain Truth Today. I want to do an update again on the complicit media.

It is my position today that the media should be held responsible for what is going on.

It was Rush Limbaugh that coined the phrase, ‘drive-by media’. It was some 25 years ago when he did so to describe a practice that I will prove he adequately and aptly named for the drive-by media. This is where the media gets a story and they run every kind of fake news about that story they can find to try to prove their communist point of view. Consequently, the minute another story comes along, they just drive by, and they go to the next story. You never have a follow-up of the lying story they just gave you.

And there’s a good reason why there’s no follow-up.

The reason is, of course, that they were lying about the whole story from the beginning anyway.

So that brings us to today’s topic.

Are they clueless or complicit?

That is the question that Ted Cruz had about the media and the coverage of Joe Biden’s age and mental acuity. This has now come under scrutiny even with the Democrats who are now running to try to figure out what they are going to do. Why? Because their chickens have come home to roost and they are now even being barbecued. Their chickens are being barbecued on the grill because they are being caught in all of their lies about how apt and how adept Joe Biden’s mind was up until just a week before the debate. Then, after the debate all of a sudden, we find all of these reports from the media, however, that now they seem to have known all along that he has a problem. Even his former press secretary, Jen Psaki had to say this morning on her show that it was her opinion that she saw a mental decline in Joe Biden, even back when she was involved in his administration, yet he was still very able to do the job. That it was just once in a while. Everybody now is trying to find a way out of their lies. 

Ted Cruz had an absolute great quote when he said that there are only two options available to us. That is one, the Democrats and their media shills, that’s the media, the lamestream media, it’s really the mainstream media, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, you name it, Yahoo News, Google News, you name it, they’re all complicit. So, the Dems and their media shows were so clueless about, and they had no idea of Biden’s mentally incompetent state. Or number two, which I believe, by the way, that they knew, and they deliberately lied about it. Cruz said that both views are very damning. Then he added, I vote for number two…and so do I. The media did know what was going on. They knew it in 2020 when Joe Biden had a hideout in his basement. They knew it when he had no campaign stops! Even then his mental ability to do anything correctly without being seen as the senile man that he was, was so evident to them. In 2020 it is true that his handlers decided to keep him in the basement and away from anything that showed what his mental state was and that he had an advanced form of Alzheimer’s or some kind of dementia. Now they’re trying to say it could be other forms of dementia. There are all kinds of medical possibilities.

I can remember a program on Fox News at six o’clock, the Brett Bear Show, and he had Britt Hume on. This was in early to mid-2021. I could not find it this morning, the actual date or the quote but I specifically remember Britt Hume always had about a 10-minute episode on the news with Brett Bear at six o’clock. And he said, and this was probably between April and June of 2021 so Joe Biden was less than four months in office when he said that it was very evident to him that Joe Biden was losing it mentally and that he had some form of senility. He even went on to say, look, I am up in the age of Joe Biden, and I see it with myself. He said, I’m basically retired, living in Florida and I understood that I was not able to do the job in the news that I was able to do just 10 years ago…he further said, and I’m not president of the United States…I know that I couldn’t do this job, let alone be the president of the United States.

It was clear to Mr. Hume that Biden was far beyond what it took to be president of the United States. We’re talking about early 2021 when Biden first became president. I’m telling you that every single member of the press knew it at the same time what Brett Hume knew. The people that were around Biden, and Brett Hume was not around Biden as president, but the entire Washington press corps, the presidential press corps I’m talking about, and everyone that had an interaction with Joe Biden knew the problems that the man had. They all were complicit in covering it up. They were not being duped. They were duping you. And what is the ramifications of this? 

I want to give advice to the Republican Party, though I doubt they will ever take my advice because the Republican Party likes to keep shooting itself in the foot but I would not let the press off the hook here like the party is doing. I would certainly not allow them to turn the tables and start naming the narratives that we are supposed to follow, that they are shocked to find out that Joe Biden is senile because now they want to beat Trump so bad they have to kill off the person….and maybe they will do that to the one that is standing in the way now…and that is Joe Biden, when just two weeks ago every one of those same reporters that are now saying that Joe Biden has to go were saying that he was the smartest man in the room. Do you remember that? And I’m telling you it is my opinion that we cannot allow the Democrats or the press, and this show is more about the mainstream media (called the lamestream media), or I like to call it the communist news networks media, not just CNN, they’re all communist news networks, that they cannot be let off the hook and change the narrative of the story.

The American people cannot be hoodwinked to believe now that the press has finally learned that Biden is not what he claims to be when they knew it all along.

In my opinion, this is a form of treason.

I do believe this is a form of treason because American lives are at stake when you have a president who is not able to be president. When the president is not able to do the right thing when it comes to foreign relations. Especially regarding the potentials of World War III which we are very close to being in and when it comes to him interacting with foreign leaders, especially foreign leaders that are potentially our enemies, like Vladimir Putin, or Xi Jinping of China, or North Korea, or Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, you name it…any of our potential enemies around the world are going to take advantage of a person like Joe Biden that is the president of the most powerful country in the world. A country that all too soon is to be the opposite of the most powerful country in the world if we continue the way we are.

All of this puts American lives in jeopardy around the world…those who are traveling, number one, but number two, it puts every American life in jeopardy that is living in the States if we end up in a nuclear world war because of the incompetence of this president…and because of the cover-up of the media who will be complicit and be responsible, in my opinion, for the deaths of up to millions of Americans if a nuclear war happens between us and Russia. The people who should be blamed for this will be the press even more than the Democratic Party. We all know the Democratic Party is full of a bunch of liars and it is their position to want to lie and we should be smart enough as the American people to realize that whatever any politician tells you is probably a lie, be it Republican or Democrat.

The idea that Democrats are liars should not be news to anyone.

But going forth from that, the idea that the press, which is supposed to be that great fourth estate that tells the truth, or I like to say the plain truth to everyone, now they are the problem in this whole scenario with Joe Biden. They are the problem because they have lied to the American people about the status of Joe Biden’s mind. They have knowingly lied, and they have knowingly also presented a worldview that we are in better shape today than we were under Donald Trump. As if we are better off than a time when prices were in half of what they are today or lower…when the world was in a status of peace more than in most people’s lifetimes…there was not even a war in the Middle East at all…there was no war with Russia and Ukraine…there was no movement on Ukraine by Russia. China was basically pushed back into their hole. North Korea, if you remember, kind of kowtowed to Trump. And I’ll give you an example that I discovered late last night in doing some research for the show that is very funny, and I did not know this…when the Taliban came to meet with President Trump and they were threatening American lives with terrorism against Americans and potentially close to taking hostages in Afghanistan…Trump went up to the head Taliban leader in a meeting face-to-face and said that if you do what you say you will do, I will personally make sure you are killed. Then he reached into his pocket…and he pulled out a photograph, a spy satellite photograph of the man’s home with detail that only can be possible from a U.S. satellite of that exact home…every car that was around it and the people in the backyard…and he handed him the photograph and said that he knows where he lives…and just up and walked away. Guess what the result of that exchange was? There were No terrorist attacks on Americans by the Taliban in the entire four years of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Check out all of these reports on the exchange I just recounted…Rep. Wesley Hunt (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/author/wesley-hunt/feed/) (R-TX) argued former President Donald Trump (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/donald-trump/) was able to keep the United States safe from its enemies, recounting his “favorite” story of Trump when he negotiated with Taliban (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/taliban/) leaders. Hunt explained how Trump wanted “a conditions-based withdrawal” of U.S. troops from Afghanistan when he and then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/mike-pompeo/) were negotiating with Taliban leaders. During these negotiations, Trump told Taliban leaders that he would kill them “if you harm a hair on a single American,” prompting the translator present with them to appear stunned. “And Trump goes, ‘Tell him. Just tell him what I said!’” Hunt said on The Sage Steele Show. “Reached into his pocket, pulled out a satellite photo of the leader of the Taliban’s home, and handed it to him, got up, and walked out the room.” Hunt then noted how no U.S. residents died in Afghanistan (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/afghanistan/) for 18 months during Trump’s presidency, calling this “the definition of strength.” He argued that the country is under “feckless leadership” with President Joe Biden (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/joe-biden/) .

So… was that a miracle? No. It’s what good politicians do, it’s what good diplomats do, it’s what you do if you care about your country and care about the safety of the people whom you took an oath and swore to almighty God in that oath that you would defend the Constitution of the United States of America and to protect the people against all domestic and foreign enemies …especially foreign enemies like the Taliban! THAT’S how Donald Trump handled the Taliban!

We all remember the story when President Trump was going to send rockets into Syria. He was having a state dinner and Xi Jinping was the guest for the state dinner in Washington, D.C., and during the dinner Trump had ordered missiles to take out the air bases in Syria, which Russians were in by the way….and would probably be killed. DJT walked up to Xi Jinping with a toast and let him know right now as we are speaking whilst toasting that missiles are going to such and such an air base in Syria and it will be completely annihilated by the time you have your dessert…and oh by the way, here’s your dessert. This is the kind of leadership that we need when you deal with monsters around the world because when you deal with a monster as if you’re a monster, you know what happens? They become tame. You can tame any wild beast, you can tame any wild stallion, you can take on a grizzly bear and you can tame a grizzly bear. You can tame any animal you can think of, any monster you can think of…and with the proper technique of fear, you can make anything obey you. And it’s fear, by the way. It’s fear through strength. And that was the policy of Donald Trump around the world, and that policy worked.

The Ted Cruz article, which is in Vox, by the way, V-O-X is this thing, goes on to say, the right-wing commentators are imagining that news sources covered up the Biden’s frailty for years. Some on the left are asserting that the White House press corps should have probed Biden’s health more closely, which could have prompted a fuller primary process. Journalists, including the one writing this column, are doing some reassessing of their own, asking if clearly an ageing 81-year-old president was given the benefit of doubt too many times. I am sorry, says Ted Cruz, there are more than two options. After talking to top reporters on the White House beat, what emerges is a far more nuanced picture. The national media wasn’t dodging the story. The biggest newspapers in the country published lengthy stories about Biden’s mental fitness. Not true. The public wasn’t in the dark about Biden’s age. That’s true. But the mainstream press did everything it could do to bring up the subject of the possible senility or dementia of Joe Biden, and then disputing it by bringing in people in the cabinet, people in the media corps, and saying, as morning Joe said just three months ago, Joe Biden is the smartest cookie in the room. In a cabinet meeting, he has more on the ball than anybody half his age. And this is what Joe in the morning said. And he knew he was lying when he said it. And I actually think that because the press, which is called that great fourth estate, that’s supposed to be like a fourth branch of government, that is supposed to keep government honest with between the branches and between the government and the people, and they’re supposed to be this great referee of truth, when the press becomes part of the Democratic Party, and the mainstream media is a division of the Democrat Communist Party, and it’s that simple. When they become part of a party they should therefore be under the same rules that the DNC or the Republican Party are under, and they should not be able to have any report as news when it is not news, but propaganda. They should have to say, this is propaganda from the DNC. Of course, they’re never going to do that but we should demand that as people, as the citizens of this country, we should demand that the mainstream media is held accountable and not allow them to squirm out of what they’re trying to squirm out of today. We need to hold them accountable and actually, if they are knowingly defrauding the American public through news stories, and you can prove that they had malice, you know, absent malice, remember that movie, Absence of Malice? If you can prove absence of malice, you can’t sue a newspaper for even writing a wrong or an erroneous or even a lie in a story. However if you could prove malice, that there was a bad intent, then the newspaper or the TV news could be held liable in a court of law in a lawsuit.

Then you could actually press them on criminal charges, in fact, and civil penalty charges against any news organization that had malice in their reporting. Well, it is my contention, humbly speaking, it is my contention that the mainstream media showed malice to the American people and to President Donald Trump by lying to the American people about Donald Trump, number one, and about lying to the media about the status of Joe Biden’s mental abilities. It was a lie. They knew it was a lie, and they should be held accountable. Like I said, if World War III was to happen, and maybe 10, 15 million people were wiped off the face of the earth in a nuclear exchange, which could happen in a matter of an hour or two, that’s the truth, then should not members of the press who enabled all of this to happen not be held accountable on grounds that they committed treason? I know what people are going to say, listen to this, that I’m some Nazi right-wing person, and this is what the left has always been afraid of, is that the right-wing Republicans are going to take over and they’re going to be like Hitler, and they’re going to put their enemies in jail. I’m not saying that. I am saying people who knowingly lie are enemies of the people. Enemies of the people, just like any kind of serial killer, belong in jail or deserve received the death penalty. The penalty for treason, by the way, I believe, I might want to check this to make sure, but I believe I’m right. The penalty for treason is the death penalty. Back in the day, it was by hanging. I don’t have a problem with hanging some of these people as well.

There has to be accountability.

We cannot allow just the same old political nonsense and allow the mainstream media lies to continue into oblivion because if we do this country does not have a chance to survive the next 25 years. Everyone knows my position of course as to what the Bible says is the future of America…because once you understand in the Bible and who the United States of America is recognized as. you see that the Bible has many prophecies concerning the United States of America. You just need to know who they are. I will give you a hint if you aren’t aware…it’s the nation of Israel. The Jewish people are not Israel they’re the nation of Judah. Just look in any Bible concordance and you will find that the nation of Judah is where the Jewish people had their kingdom and that the nation of Israel, after the division, after King Solomon’s reign, when they became two separate nations, the nation of Israel was taken into captivity and moved away from the Middle East. They went into Europe with the Assyrians, who are modern-day Germans, and were lost to history, supposedly. That’s who the United States of America is.

Every time you see a prophecy concerning Israel in the Old and New Testament it means the people of Western Europe and especially the people of Great Britain and America who are the tribe of Joseph a tribe of the Lost Ten Tribes. Ephraim and Manasseh are the sons of Joseph. Once you understand this you have to understand also that God predicts in all of the prophecies at the very end of time, and I do not know how close we are to the end times, but in the very end time, the people of the house of Israel goes back into captivity under the King of the North which is Europe. It will be a Holy Roman Empire revival and we are destined according to God’s Word, and I believe every word of God, we are destined to become slaves to the Antichrist who will come out of the King of the North which is Central Europe. It will happen with a power derived from the Holy Roman Catholic Church and it will be a revival of the Holy Roman Empire. We know from the Book of Daniel that the kingdom that we know is the Roman Empire will be the kingdom that is the end time Antichrist kingdom when Christ returns. There’s only four world kingdoms of Antichrist and the fourth one was ancient Rome and yet it is absolutely predicted in the Book of Daniel and in Revelation that it is the same Roman Empire that will still be on earth when Christ returns.

We know, if we believe God, and I do, that the end time, when right before Christ returns, the United States, England, and most of Western Europe those that are all members of the lost tribes of Israel will be in captivity and under the thumb of Central Europe. They will act like a Nazi Hitler type regime and this time will have the power of the Holy Roman Catholic Church and a Pope…THAT is the future of America. HOWEVER…it doesn’t have to happen right away. God does listen to people’s prayers.

I do personally believe that the June 14th day of prayer and fasting, inspired from JEremiah3227.com and other days that people set aside for prayers or fasting for this nation for God, did in fact…work. I think we are seeing God working to prevent this nation from falling at this time which tells me maybe we’re not at the time of the end yet because God looks like He needs to come in and intervene and stop us from falling before the time that the final fall happens.

We do not know the time of the end and it’s very important to know this when you hear people say, oh, we are living in the end times…as you will hear this all the time. It’s the way ministers try to captivate their audience to get more money out of them; by convincing them they’re going to see the time of the end in their own lifetime. I’m not going to tell you that. I do not know when the time of the end is. I do know general things that have to happen and know that they have not happened yet which is a rebuilding of the temple. Without a rebuilding of the temple, I wouldn’t even contemplate the time of the end right now. Although, we can as a people and maybe we did this right on June 14th and possibly some other days before that, we did pray to God and God promises us in His word that if we pray to Him and we confess our sins as a nation, He will heal the nation… and He will heal our wounds of a nation and make us powerful again and bless the nation again with great crops, great weather…by the way, our weather is terrible. It has nothing to do with global warming. It has a lot more to do with God’s problem with us causing these things to happen. All your weather events, everything that happens is at the hand of God, and God makes kingdoms, breaks kingdoms. He makes weather. He breaks people by weather.

So, when things are going wrong it is not time to look into scientists and global warming…it’s time to look into what God has to say about everything and try to put ourselves back under God’s laws and under God’s wishes…for it is then that God will change things and pull us out of our problems. That is what we need to do as a nation.

We have to start somewhere and one of the things we have to do is hold the press accountable. They are more accountable as I said earlier in this program, they are more accountable for what has happened in these last three and a half years more than are the Democrats and the Democrat party. Because as I said earlier, we should accept and expect that the Democrat party is going to lie for their own party’s sake, just like Republicans lie for their party’s sake.

I’m not saying it’s right and I’m not saying it’s a good thing, but it is politics.

Political people lie all the time on both sides of the aisle.

Ultimately it is up to the press. It is their duty to report on the truth. This is why the First Amendment gives the right to freedom of the press, because even our forefathers understood we needed a free press that was honest to hold our political people and office holders accountable to any of their actions and to report their contrary and wrong actions toward the people so the people can either put them in jail and try them for treason, if that’s in fact what it is…or for other crimes and misdemeanors and of course…or they vote against them in the next election. But if you have the media now as just another division of the Democrat party, and that is what 85% of the media is today that you can see with your own eyes, then you have given over any idea of a good outcome of any election in the future. If you do not have an honest media which is why in the past we basically have had an honest media up until about 60 years ago…this was when the television stations took over the news, when ABC, NBC, CBS took over the news, and then all your local newspapers disappeared…and then even your big regional newspapers like the Hartford Courant or the Waterbury Republican in my area where I am from or the Miami Herald, or Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel…they actually used to be locally owned…but then what happened was they got bought up by conglomerates and the radio stations got bought up by conglomerates and all the newspapers. So now we have four, five, maybe six major corporations owning all the local newspapers. The result is that the local people do not get news from their local newspaper that is coming from citizens in their own towns. No, everything they read and all the editorials they read are planted by some editor some 500 to 1,000 or more miles away.  Those writing do not have any idea about the town of New Milford, about Connecticut, or Norfolk, Virginia, or Miami, Florida, because they don’t even live there.

And they are part of the lying media that we need to rein in.

The media has to be held accountable over anything else and this has to happen right away or we as a nation will fail. That’s my take on this topic and in regard to the media for today…and hopefully tomorrow we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming. 

I wanted to get into political scandals… and it didn’t start with Watergate, and it wasn’t Nixon, and it’s not Reagan, and it’s not Trump that were the worst presidents when it came to scandals and murders in our history. I don’t know yet if I can get into that because as of today, Joe Biden has still got his feet dug in, and he ain’t leaving.

Joe Biden claims he’s not leaving anyway, and more and more of the press are turning against him because now they want him out because they see Donald Trump as the president and that’s the holy hell thing they don’t want to see happen.

I hope it does happen because America and Americans will be better off!

That’s my take for today.
