Hello, it’s Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, the one place to go to every day to find out what the big news is, and if God has anything to do with it, what it is.
Well, we got some preliminary information about the attack on the nuke sites in Iran, and I’m telling you today, I don’t know enough to make too much of hay over what it is. Had a show yesterday about it. I think it should have been taken out. I also warned that I don’t really know what Donald Trump is doing, what his aides are doing. I’m hoping it’s the old Donald Trump of the 2017-18s, but there are some things that bothered me then.
It bothered me the night that he announced it with his people there, Vice President and Pete Hegseth, the Defense Secretary and Marco Rubio, Secretary of State. And then the next day, listening to Pete Hegseth and his meeting with General Kaine, I believe that’s his name, was so unprofessional. It reminds me of the Press Secretary for Donald Trump. She is just Caroline Leavitt. She is just so unprofessional. They act like cheerleaders for the White House. That is not the job of a Defense Secretary, and it is not a job of the Press Secretary. But going on with Pete Hegseth Sunday, he was all about how great Donald Trump was. No other president could do this. I got news for you. The military plans these strikes years in advance. The Pentagon sits around all day long.
You remember the movie War Games? Well, the Pentagon sits around all day long, and they try to figure out how to attack Iran, how to attack Iraq if you had to, how to attack England if you had to, or Germany, or Russia, or Japan, or China, or every other nation in the world. That’s what they do. And they come up with plans, and they come up with plans that if any president asks them to do something, they present the president with the plan. So anyway, I won’t go there. But today’s news that broke since this morning had me again feeling a little queasy about the operation. Did the job work? Now, just because the Trump people say it’s the greatest military strike since World War II, which I don’t understand that one, and they did say that, by the way, I don’t see the evidence, and everyone convinced of the evidence that the nuke sites were taken out completely or that the nuke stuff was even there. As a matter of fact, officials now admit that the location of the uranium was never known before this attack. And Israel or the United States will still have to probably go after finding it. And that said a lot.
But the attack by Iran, a feeble attack on Iran today, or yesterday, I should say, on one of our military bases in Qatar, really, to me, summarized the weakness that I’m afraid is coming from this administration. I do not want to see boots on the ground war like Afghanistan and Iraq and Vietnam and Korea, you name it. We just seem to, in the last 70 years, find one war after another we can lose because of politicians and the middle class of America and the lower class of America who pays for all these wars. But when Iran attacked our military base in Qatar, there was no response from us. And I’m going to read what Trump said, the reason why, because the truth of the matter is, is Iran basically, you remember that boxer Roberto Duran, he was in the middle of a fight, and he couldn’t fight no more. He knew he was beaten, and he goes, no mas box, no more boxing. He walked out of the ring. Well, that’s really what Iran did. They let us know they were going to bomb the base so we could empty it, saying to us, wink, wink, let us do this one last thing, and then we’ll come to the table because you have decimated us. So here is the report, I believe, from the AP. President Trump on Monday responded to Iran’s attack on Al-Qaeda, I’m sorry, Al-Udeid, U.S. Air Force Base in Qatar, calling Tehran’s retaliation weak before urging peace and harmony, including with Israel. There’s a clue there. Iran, this is a quote from Trump, Iran has officially responded to our obliteration of their nuclear facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and we have very effectively countered. There have been 14 missiles fired, 13 were known to be knocked down, and one was set free because it was headed in a non-threatening direction. I am pleased to report no Americans were harmed, thank God to that, and hardly any damage was done.
Hardly any damage was done, said Trump on Truth Social. And why a sitting president is using a platform that he owns to get the news to the American people, to me, is unconscionable. It is not right. He is the President of the United States; he should not be forcing people to go to his Truth Social to listen to official reports from the President of the United States. If people in the MAGA movement do not have a problem with what he is doing about aggrandizing himself and enriching his own pockets, then you should have never had a problem with Obama or Biden, never should have had a problem with them. And if you had a problem with them, you should have a problem with Trump.
Let us go on. The President also revealed that the United States received early notice about the attack, which he thanked Iran, yes, he thanked Iran, for as it allowed no casualties on the base. He added, quote, most importantly, they have gotten it all out of their system, unquote, whatever that means. They got out of their system; they want to kill the great Satan America. They got out of their system; they’re going to annihilate Israel. Really? When did I hear that? Go on. And there will hopefully be no further hate. I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible. Okay, Trump urged all sides to stand down, all sides to stand down. Does this sound like a Ukraine and Russia? Ukraine is blamed for everything, but Russia was blamed for nothing. At the time we were told by Trump, he had to take that position because Russia didn’t have to, they held all the cards. So Iran holds all the cards now? Well, it doesn’t seem so if your attack on Iran was strong. Trump then urged all sides to stand down in the conflict and pull the United States into attacking Iran’s three nuclear strikes. Saturday night’s airstrikes on Iran, though tactically very impressive, seemed to have fallen short strategically, way short of what President Donald Trump and his top aides claimed shortly afterwards. That’s the part that started to bother me.
And I had those questions with my wife, even Saturday night when we were listening. The big questions that many have raised at the time were how effective was this attack in destroying Iran’s nuclear program? The answers, which upon scrutiny appeared uncertain, and you notice this is upon scrutiny because this administration lies and boasts about everything they do until you pull back the curtain and find out that the Wizard of Oz is what he is, not there. The answers, which upon scrutiny appeared uncertain even then, now seems even less, 48 hours later, more discouraging. Much of Iran’s enriched uranium might not been struck at all with the massive bunker-busting bombs. And early morning, afternoon, Iran fired several missiles at U.S. air base in Ghadar, which I mentioned. Most of the B-2s supersized bunker busters fired in Trump’s attack Saturday night.12 of the 14 dropped by seven planes. What happened to the other two? 12 of the 14. I don’t know about that. We aimed at the Fordow uranium enrichment facility, which is buried at least 300 feet inside the mountain. Satellite data indicates that the bombs hit their target, some of them smashing through the site’s ventilation shafts, but there is doubt whether even a dozen of the bombs penetrated all the way down to destroy the site. On an even more daunting note, the New York Times, which is liberal by the way, quoted senior Israeli officials who seem to have their act together as saying Iran might have even removed most of the enriched uranium before the attack in anticipation that it was coming.

Well, I’m going to give you my take about this after a brief time out here in a minute or two, but I just want to finish by what one former George Bush speechwriter had to say. Now, I’m not a George Bush fan in any way, and George Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction and absolutely is one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had, but President Donald Trump, this is a quote, President Donald Trump is desperately looking for excuses to back down, you know, taco Trump is the left leg to call him now, from his hostile position against Iran, former George Bush speechwriter David Frum, because although he loves wielding power, he’s terrified of having to use it and cannot be trusted to use it for the general good. Well, I don’t know if I agree with all that, but I’m just saying you’re already seeing from the left doubts about this mission and the doubts, if it keeps creeping longer and longer and longer, is not going to be good for the American people or American prestige around the world. And I’m afraid that is what we may be starting to see.

So, I’m going to read something about Donald Trump in his campaign time, and before I read it, I want to set up the situation. You have Donald Trump saying that Iran has been totally annihilated, they’re begging for peace, they can’t wait to get to the peace treaty and sign a deal, and now it’s Israel’s turn to go along with it. And my question is, since when is this regime in Iran has ever told the truth about what they want, other than the truth that they say that they are going to annihilate Israel and remove it from the face of the earth? So, I have to compare Iran’s leadership to a snake, and if you don’t cut the head of the snake off and you keep letting that snake survive, then that snake is going to regain its strength and it’s going to strike you again.
So, let me read something and see if the people who like to listen to Donald Trump during his campaign recognizes this. On her way to work one morning, down the path alongside the lake, a tender-hearted woman saw a poor half-frozen snake. His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with dew.Oh well, she cried, I’ll take you in and I’ll take care of you. Take me in, oh tender woman, take me in for heaven’s sake, take me in, oh tender woman, side the snake. She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvative silk and then laid him by the fireside with some honey to warm and some milk to warm him up.Now, she hurried home from work that night. As soon as she arrived, she found the pretty snake she had taken in had been revived. Take me in, oh tender woman, take me in for heaven’s sake, take me in, oh tender woman, side the snake. Now, she clutched him to her bosom. You’re so beautiful, she cried, but if I hadn’t brought you in last night, you would have died. Now, she stroked his pretty skin and she kissed him and held him tight.
But instead of saying thanks, the snake gave her a vicious, venomous bite. Take me in, oh tender woman, take me in for heaven’s sake, take me in, oh tender woman, side the snake. I saved you, cried the woman, and you bit me. Why? You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die. Oh, shut up, silly woman, said the reptile with a grin. You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in. Well, he liked to replay this over and over and over again or repeat it. Every time to ad nauseum, in my opinion, I was sick of hearing it. But Iran is a snake. The leadership of Iran are snakes. And if Donald Trump is going to be that soft woman who wants a peace deal above anything else and saves this regime from being overthrown by its people by trying to act like you’re ready to make a deal with him, well, he’s going to hold that snake to his bosom and to that of Israel’s and guess what’s going to happen? That poisonous snake is going to bite. It will always bite.
These people are liars. Do you understand in the religion of Islam, especially radical Islam, but it’s in the Quran that it is okay to lie to infidels if it helps your purpose, if it helps your cause. You can kill any infidel. The prohibition of murder does not apply to someone who’s not a Muslim. You can lie to get your way. You can cheat. You can do anything you have to do to win. That is what they believe. And so here they’re saying, no mass box, no more fighting because they’ve been whipped by Israel. And they understand with the bunker busting bombs, they do understand that the United States has the military power to wipe them out in two days or more or less, I should say. Do you remember the first Gulf war when a General Schwarzkopf was in charge, and we attacked Iraq and the military did its job and did his job in a week. And then I think within three days, we had total superiority. We use B-52 bombers to bomb the troops that were hidden underground. We used, I believe it was the Iowa shelling with 16-inch shells off the coast of Iraq. And those shells were so explosive, so loud, so bombastic that the people would come out of their bunkers crying, holding their ears, which were bleeding blood from the concussion of those shells, asking to surrender.
That is victory, my friends. That is when you absolutely have a victory. Now it wasn’t Schwarzkopf’s fault that the first Bush administration decided not to do a regime change and leave Gaddafi in power. And that may or may not have been the right decision because we know the first Bush administration knew quite well, I have to admit, and Colin Powell did, that you cannot allow Middle Eastern countries that do not understand democracy, do not understand freedom, republic forms of government, you cannot give those people the right to choose what they want because they don’t know what they want. They need a strong leader to tell them what to do, like the Shah of Iran was, or maybe the first Bush administration decided they needed to keep Saddam Hussein there because of his ability to keep the people under control, and especially Hussein’s ability to keep the religious fanatics under control. Christians were protected by Saddam Hussein in Iraq. So were Jews. One of the oldest Jewish communities at the time was in Iraq and another one in Iran. The Shah protected the Jews in Iran as Hussein protected the Jews in Iraq.
Most people don’t know that. Do you remember the Bani Sadr? He was second in command to Saddam Hussein. He had that little mustache and he looked like a funny little character, almost like a cartoon character, a Charlie Chaplin type. But do you remember that name, Bani Sadr? You might want to look that up. He was second in command of all of Iraq. You saw him all the time on Western TV. He was the one giving all the interviews, not Hussein, for the most part. He was on CNN all the time. He was on ABC, CBS, you name it. He was the official voice and face of the Iraqi government under Saddam Hussein. You know what his religion was? Bani Sadr was a Christian. He was a Christian living in Iraq, and he was second in command of a Muslim state. Think about that. You think that’s going to happen under some Ayatollah? You think that’s going to happen under some Muslim fanatic religious state? They’re going to allow a Christian to be second in command. Or they’re going to allow Jews to survive? Think about that. And this is that little poem about the snake that I just want to remind people of that laughed so much when Donald Trump kept reading it over and over again at every rally.
Iran is a snake. And not the people, but the government is snakes. And if you do not kill this snake now when they’re down and out, and they are down and out, Israel, more than we, made them down and out. There is no air power. There’s no military power. Everybody’s bunkered down. It’s time to take out this leadership. Let the people decide afterwards. I think the Shah that’s in waiting to go back there will take the opportunity to go back there and get control. I really think so. I really think that there is enough people in Iran, probably 75% of the population, would welcome the Shah to come back. And they would welcome, especially if they’re older, they would welcome the lifestyle they had in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s until this religious zealot idiot, Ayatollah Khomeini came to power and absolutely enslaved the people of Iran, took away their rights, and started murdering hundreds of thousands of them yearly.
It’s unbelievable genocide that happened in Iran these last 46 years. And we want to make a peace treaty with these people. We want to go to bed at night proud of ourselves that we made peace in the Middle East at the cost of human innocent lives, of Jewish lives, of American lives, who will still be slaughtered around the world by terrorist groups that are supported by Iran. You think they’re going to stop supporting the terrorist groups? You think after they can sell their oil, and if we make this deal and we take up all the sanctions from them, and they can sell oil all over the world, you think that money is not going to come back and come on our heads? I never forget, I think it was Khrushchev said, we’re going to sell, us communists are going to you capitalist Americans, the ropes we’re going to hang you with. And that’s what it seems like is going on. Our capitalism is so stupid that we’re willing to sit down and negotiate with venomous snakes thinking we’re going to get a deal. And if that is what Donald Trump’s thinking, well, as I pointed out, the first thing I wrote for the Plain Truth in 2008 was why the Middle East is always going to be in your future. Because the Bible is never wrong, what it predicts, and mankind simply does not understand the enemy when they see it. Eve did not understand the enemy when she saw it, when she was tempted and she was deceived. She couldn’t see that enemy in front of her. There was a very good Twilight Zone, the original Twilight Zone series. I never forget it.
These monks living in a castle and they had the devil trapped in a cell with a cane holding it, the door shut. And this traveler comes by and like Donald Trump, liberal and minded, goes in there for shelter for the night because it’s storming. And he comes across the devil, who he doesn’t think is a devil, he looks like a man, who tells this traveler that he’s being imprisoned by these sadistic monks because they think he’s a devil when he’s actually a man who just loved women and he was a good guy and they were just jealous of him and these monks. And he got the traveler to remove the cane to let him out. And the minute he gets out, he strikes the guy paralyzed, turns into Satan and flies away. But the point at the end of the show, he tells brother whatever his name is, the monk who’s played by John Carradine, he said, I saw him, but I didn’t believe it was him. And the monk, John Carradine’s response was, that’s the devil’s greatest deception and that’s man’s greatest weakness, I should say, by not understanding that deception. We see the devil, but we think we can make a peace with them because we’re that great. We are that arrogant, we are that stupid and I’m afraid we may be seeing that.
I hope I am wrong. I hope I can play this recording a year from now and I will wear sackcloth and I will put ashes over my head and I will repent for ever not trusting Donald Trump’s judgment here. But I do not like the things that is just slipping through as you watch and listen to the news. And I’m sorry, but I have learned after, especially after this tariff situation and even after this ice situation where we’re worried about sleeper cells, right? Well, why are we rounding up gardeners and farm workers and factory workers to deport when we say there is over 2,000 possible terrorists in this country that came across illegally when Biden was president? Why aren’t we going after them? You’re trying to tell me the nation that knows everything you do, who has cameras on every street corner that watches your car drive down the highway whenever there’s a murder, you watch forensic files and they follow the suspect through camera after camera after camera. You’re trying to tell me that our government who read your cell phones, I don’t care if you have an Apple or not, who read your emails, who knows everything about you, you just try it sometime and see if I’m not right. You’re trying to tell me we don’t know where these potential sleeper cells are in America or we don’t know where these MS-13 gangs are.
How many, I believe the last count I had was 260 some gang members have been arrested and deported. Where are the rest of them? There are thousands of them in this country. We’ve deported 3,000 people so far, which they admit only 265 were hardened criminals. The rest were criminals because they came over the border illegally some 10, 15, 20 or 25 years ago. Or in many cases, they’re the kids of the people brought here who never came across illegally. They were juveniles when they came here. They’re called the dreamers. I’m not saying I think the dreamers should get special attention like the Democrats want to do, but it’s our priorities. If we think they’re sleeper cells and we know there was 2 million getaways under Joe Biden, why isn’t ICE going after them instead of the guy mowing your lawn? If you don’t ask that question, you’re part of the problem. I’m sorry, but you have to have common sense. You have to take one step at a time. You have to get rid of the criminals first before you worry about illegal immigration. Yes, shutting the border down Eddie did was great. That was a great idea and I am 100% in support of that and it should have been done a long time ago. But now the next thing you do is you find those terrorists, you find those criminals, you find those MS-13 or whatever gangs they are and get them first.
Don’t worry about the guy mowing somebody’s lawn. And the same thing when we get to Iran. We got them down and out and Israel mainly did it more than we do and now we’re going to give them an escape. And if that happens, the Middle East is going to be in your future for a lot longer anyway, as the Bible predicts. Well, this is the show for today. It’s again one of the shows I really don’t like doing. I really do not like going against this amendment. I have been a Donald Trump supporter from 2015, 2016 on. I predicted to the editor of this show in 2012 or 13 that the only hope for this country was some billionaire who wasn’t owned by special interests, something like a Donald Trump to run where he could run the country like a business, like somebody with a brain. And I was supportive of him in 2016. I did very well with his first presidency. I think every small businessman I know did well under his first presidency. Almost every business, small businessperson that I know damn near went out of business during the Biden years. And the last thing we want to see is the Biden years come back. But don’t you understand my friends that if, if Donald Trump is not successful because of his arrogance and because of the cheerleaders around him that don’t know what they’re doing, then we’re going to get another Joe Biden.
And again, we’re going to have, we’re going to be right back to where we were, and we’re shaped with a $42 trillion deficit instead of a $35 trillion deficit. That’s, that’s the problem. Anyway, this is Bob Barney for the Plain Truth. We’ll see you back here tomorrow. Thank you for listening. We do appreciate you and maybe we’ll have a little better show tomorrow. I hope so for your sake, because I know people are sick and tired of listening to me, but I’m sorry, but I have to tell you what I think is happening and at least get you thinking about it. This is Bob Barney. Bye-bye.
