The iconic Central Park Loeb Boathouse, famous for its lakeside views, delectable plates and rowboats, will be closing its doors due to rising costs of labor and goods, the restaurant's operator said.
The landmark eatery and rowboat rental, which first opened in 1954, will stop operating on October 16. At least 163 workers will be laid off.
