The couple will ride through the city in a horse-drawn carriage
The Swedish capital is
braced for one of its biggest ever public celebrations as Crown Princess
Victoria weds her former personal trainer.
Victoria, 32, will tie the knot with 36-year-old commoner
Daniel Westling at Stockholm Cathedral.
More than 1,200 guests, including royals from around the world,
have been invited to the ceremony.
The couple, who met in 2002, will ride through the city centre
afterwards in a horse-drawn carriage.
They will then take to the same royal barge Victoria's parents,
Queen Silvia and King Carl XVI Gustaf, used on their wedding day
exactly 34 years ago.
The newlyweds will be taken across the harbour to Drottningholm
Palace and an evening banquet with guests from Sweden and around the
world.
Secret guest list
It is Sweden's first royal wedding in Sweden since 1976.
Victoria will be escorted down the aisle by her father, whom
she is first in line to succeed.
Nineteen military bands will entertain the thousands of people
expected to line the route, which has been decked out in flowers as well
as blue and yellow flags.
Some 6,000 military personnel and 2,000 police will be spread
throughout Stockholm.
Eighteen Gripen fighter jets will fly above the city to
celebrate the wedding.
The guest list is secret, but the Norwegian and Danish royal
families have arrived in the capital, as has Queen Beatrix of the
Netherlands and Prince Albert of Monaco.
As Crown Princess Victoria's husband, gym owner Mr Westling
will assume the title of Prince Daniel, Duke of Vastergotland.
Sweden's monarchy has no political power, but the king or queen
represents the nation and greets foreign dignitaries.
