Episcopal Migration Ministries is the name of her ministry. ‘EMM budget figures for 2024 are not available yet, but in 2023 it earned $53 million from various taxpayer-funded government programs to resettle 3,600 individuals’…says Don Barnett who is a member of the board of the Center for Immigration Studies.
Rachel Maddow interviewed bishop Budde on her show post sermon where Budde had lectured our 47th President, Donald J Trump “eye to eye” as Maddow creepily stated, at the interfaith prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral. This is a tradition that concludes the presidential inauguration festivities.
Maddow asked the bishop, “What made you decide to make that appeal the way you did to ask him for mercy in that way?”…Bishop went on to say that she wanted to cover all of the ‘pillars of unity’…emphasizing money, whoops, typo…emphasizing, ‘MERCY’.
Various conservative voices shared their thoughts and opinions about her motive as to why Budde really laid it on thick with the President and Vice President’s families:
President Trump shared his experience on Truth Social afterward that read, “She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart. She failed to mention the large number of illegal migrants that came into our Country and killed people. Many were deposited from jails and mental institutions. It is a giant crime wave that is taking place in the USA. Apart from her inappropriate statements, the service was a very boring and uninspiring one. She is not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!”
It would be interesting to see who she has been resettling and if this leads to an audit, where this money actually was spent. Thankfully we have DOGE at work focusing on America First.
