Author and survivor of Mao’s Cultural Revolution Xi Van Fleet told Tucker Carlson that US institutions have been seized by Marxists and are pushing the US toward communism.
In a long-form interview with the former Fox News host, Van Fleet described the ‘full blown communist revolution’ currently unfolding in America that ‘must be stopped’ if the country is to survive.
Van Fleet has lived in the US since 1986, but was born and raised in China during the Cultural Revolution.In her new book, ‘Mao’s America: A Survivor’s Warning,’ she draws numerous comparisons between what she saw as a child and young adult in Mao’s China, and what she sees today in the US.
During her interview with Carlson, Van Fleet described one such instance of the dangerous ideology she is worried has spread across America.Explaining the progressive usage of the words oppressor and oppressed, Van Fleet said that a communist worldview would have an individual believe that anything the oppressed party does to the oppressor ‘is justified.”That includes murder, kidnap(ping), raping – it’s all justified just like the Cultural Revolution,’ she said. ‘That’s what’s happening in today’s America.’Specifically, Van Fleet points to the indoctrination she sees taking place at educational institutions in the US – both those of higher education, and K-12 programs.Professors, curriculums, and in turn students, are embracing Marxist ideology, the broader societal implication of which is a ‘celebration of violence,’ like the myriad riots that have broken out across the country in the period following the death of George Floyd and beyond.Furthermore, the political discord and chaos on college campuses, she said, mirror what she saw in China years ago.Therefore, the single most critical step toward defeating communist ideology in America, is regaining control of schools and universities.Van Fleet in no uncertain terms declares that Americans who care about saving ‘this country for your children and your children’s children’ must stand up against the communist ideology that is now driving everything from the Critical Race Theory taught in elementary school classrooms, to the DEI hiring practices of major US corporations.
