European leaders point to ‘rising crime rates, growing pressure on public services, and an erosion of citizens’ trust’

The only two female prime ministers in Europe, who typically would be at odds politically, have teamed up to call for stricter immigration policies within the EU as a means to protect “Europe’s Christian cultural heritage.”

The unusual alliance brings together right-of-center Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and leftist Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

Meloni posted a joint statement in Italian on Facebook Monday. Politico posted portions in English:
