One of Pakistan’s richest men and his teenage son are among the five missing in the submarine that set off to see the Titanic before losing all communication thousands of feet underwater, it was revealed today. Shahzada Dawood, 48, a UK-based board member of the Prince’s Trust charity, and his son Sulaiman, 19, were in the tiny underwater craft when it lost signal in the Atlantic Ocean, 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

Their family, including Shahzada’s wife Christine and daughter Alina, are now enduring an agonising wait for any news of the pair – hoping in vain that they could  be found before the oxygen onboard runs out in around 50 hours.
