It’s long been recognized that some American churches, under pressure from the “politically correct” and “tolerant progressive” agendas, are abandoning the biblical standards on which they were founded.

The Bible condemns homosexuality. Yet some church conferences ordain homosexual bishops and allow them to have same-sex partners.

It’s commonly recognized that abortion fits in the Bible’s definition of murder, yet there are church groups that advocate for the profitable abortion industry.

Now a new poll reveals that many, many Americans say churches are abandoning their foundational beliefs.

It is a Breitbart report on a Rasmussen Reports poll that confirms, “A majority of Americans say faith is important to their daily lives, but they worry ‘too many religious institutions nowadays are watering down or abandoning their traditional beliefs.'”

The report said of 1,056 American adults polled between April 9-11, “65% agree too many religious institutions are watering down or abandoning their foundational beliefs. Thirty-five percent say they ‘strongly agree,’ while 23 percent disagree and 12 percent are unsure. The margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points with a 95 percent confidence level.”

The poll said 75% confirm “religious faith [is] important to their daily lives,” including 49% who say it is “very important.”
