Judge in Trump Mar-a-Lago classified documents case demands to know why the DOJ wants to use a grand jury from out of state as she hands Jack Smith multiple blows
The federal judge in Donald Trump’s classified documents case on Monday asked prosecutors why they had used grand juries in Florida and in Washington to build their case when charges were filed in South Florida. Judge Aileen Cannon, who was appointed by Trump, asked Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team to respond by Aug. 22. ‘The response shall address the legal propriety of using an out-of-district grand jury proceeding to continue to investigate and/or to seek post-indictment hearings on matters pertinent to the instant indicted matter in this district,’ she wrote in a court filing.

Trump plots his imminent indictment counter-offensive with Republican allies: Donald phones supporters in Congress – and tells them to call out ‘hypocrisies’ in the Hunter criminal probe AND the Biden family ‘cover-up’
Donald Trump is planning to go on the offense by working with his top Republican Hill allies to call out ‘hypocrisies’ in the Hunter Biden criminal probe and Biden family ‘cover-up’ as the former president braces for a third indictment and arrest. A source familiar tells DailyMail.com that GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik had a lengthy call with Trump on Tuesday after the former president confirmed that he found out on Sunday he’s the subject of a criminal investigation into the Capitol riot and his bid to overturn the 2020 election. Stefanik and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy are spearheading the House GOP’s offensive effort accusing the prosecutors behind Trump’s multiple indictments of being politically motivated because they want to see his 2024 presidential re-election bid tank.
Trump says he expects to be indicted in Capitol riot probe

Breitbart.com
Former US president Donald Trump said Tuesday he expected to be charged over the January 6 attack on the US Capitol — an indictment that would ramp up his legal woes as he makes another White House run.
Trump, the front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, is already facing criminal charges brought by special counsel Jack Smith for mishandling top secret government documents after leaving office.
Trump said he received a letter from Smith on Sunday stating that he’s a target of the probe into January 6, 2021, when Trump supporters stormed Congress in a bid to prevent certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory.
“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter… stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6 Grand Jury investigation,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform.
The 77-year-old Trump said he was given four days to report to a grand jury, “which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment.”
“This witch hunt is all about election interference and a complete and total political weaponization of law enforcement,” he said. “It is a very sad and dark period for our Nation!” READ MORE>>>>

Dershowitz: Country ‘Would Have Been Better Off’ if Trump Not Prosecuted
During Sunday’s broadcast of FNC’s “MediaBuzz,” Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz argued against the Department of Justice’s prosecution of former President Donald Trump.
According to Dershowitz, the case was not about espionage or national security but documents, which he said may not justify interfering with a presidential election.

All you need to know ahead of Trump’s arraignment this afternoon
Donald Trump will appear at the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. U.S. Courthouse, 12 miles from Doral, at 3pm this afternoon.
The former president will be taken into custody and officially notified of the 37 counts against him.
As with his April arrest in Manhattan, Trump is not expected to be put in handcuffs, and a mugshot is not thought to be taken.
It remains unclear whether he will be expected to enter a plea. His lawyers have already said he will plead not guilty.
Chief US District Judge Cecilia Altonaga informed reporters that they were not allowed to bring cell phones into the courthouse.
Meanwhile, US Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman had earlier denied a separate request for the hearing to be televised.

An Indictment was unsealed today and our 45th President is being charged with felony violations of our National Security Laws as well as participating in a conspiracy to obstruct justice. This is yet another sad day in our Country. DJT is innocent and they know it; it is a full smear campaign of never-ending projection.
Donald Trump has become the first-ever former US president to face criminal charges.
Last month our former president had appeared in court to plead not guilty to 37 felony counts of falsifying business records, facing an indictment brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The charges all stemmed from a ridiculous five-year-old scandal having to do with a $130,000 hush money payment to Stormy Daniels.
He again is now due in court, this time in Miami this coming Tuesday.
Bob Barney wrote an excellent piece on Crossing the Rubicon discussing what this really means for DJT, America, and all Americans. You can read his full column, here. You can read the full list of charges, here.
Over the course of the last day, I have compiled some of my journey through social media punctuating tonight with DJT’s plea of innocence and expressing how enormously unfair this all is. If anything gets me personally in the gut, it is when unfairness reigns supreme.
Trump Announces HUGE CHANGES To Legal Team After Indictment
In a surprising turn of events, former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced significant changes to his legal team, following a federal indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents, obstruction, and other charges.
Two of his lawyers, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, have formally resigned from their roles, according to a statement released on Friday.
The joint statement from Trusty and Rowley read: “This morning we tendered our resignations as counsel to President Trump, and we will no longer represent him on either the indicted case or the January 6 investigation.” The reasons for their departure remain undisclosed at this time.
In response to their resignations, Trump released his own statement on Truth Social, declaring: “For purposes of fighting the Greatest Witch Hunt of all time, now moving to the Florida Courts, I will be represented by Todd Blanche, Esq., and a firm to be named later.”
Trump did not miss an opportunity to lambast his opponents, stating that Trusty and Rowley “were up against a very dishonest, corrupt, evil, and ‘sick’ group of people, the likes of which has not been seen before.” He also hinted at more impending announcements, saying, “We will be announcing additional lawyers in the coming days.”

The former president also pointed his finger at current President Joe Biden, questioning: “When will Joe Biden be indicted for his many crimes against our Nation?”
They will stop at nothing…
Here is the interview from Friday afternoon with Gateway Pundits Jim Hoff and Trumps CAMPAIGN attorney, Christina Bobb.
