Hello, Bob Barney here with The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. Again, we’re doing a Friday wrap-up. We have changed it to 7-11 p.m. on Fridays, and people can listen to it then or Saturday or Sunday as well. We decided to do it on the evening, the 7-11 p.m. broadcast, rather than the noon broadcast.

So there may be times we will put it noon, but mainly the reason is because there’s a lot of news that happens Friday morning, and I usually tape it either starting Thursday afternoon into Friday morning and wrap it up by 8 o’clock, 9 o’clock in the morning to have it ready, transcribed and everything by noontime. This way it gives me the 3 or 4, even 5 o’clock at night if any late-breaking Friday news happens, and so I just figured we’d put it at the 7-11 p.m. Many people listen to this on their computers. Anyway, at any other times it’s available.

After we publish it, it’s available at any time later on or whatever. So anyway, we’re going to start this news cycle off with the top stories that I think it’s important. One of those I want to get into first that I think is kind of important is, again, the Trump administration and Donald Trump himself just is not being what I would consider good for the American people, for the regular person out there, and he’s mainly thinking about, it seems to me, Donald Trump and his family and his empire more than he’s caring about the regular folk out there like he did back in, I believe, in his first term.Now we read a story on The Plain Truth this week, if you kept up with it. He wants the Justice Department to reimburse him for $230 million dollars. You heard that right, $230 million dollars to pay him back for his legal fees that he spent defending himself against the lawfare.

It’s almost, to me, criminal, in my opinion. If he really wants that money back, he should go through the legal system and sue the federal government for that money back and go through the court system instead of what looks to be an end around just to pay himself $230 million dollars. Remember, he was found guilty in some of these cases as well.I’m not saying he was guilty, and I’m not saying it wasn’t lawfare, but I’m also saying that the idea that he has not taken any money as president is just simply not the case this time around. He may not be taking his pay, as he likes to say, but he’s lining his pockets with billions and billions of dollars from his Trump coin, which is not even authored here. It’s out of Dubai, I believe.And it just seems like everything he wants you and I to do, he and his family are exempt this time around. He goes after the Fed chairman. You remember this? Because they wanted to redo the Fed building in Washington, D.C. Remember, it had asbestos, it had some elements to it that needed to be remodernized.

And he said they were just spending money foolishly, and it was corruption, and it was really a legal reason that he could actually fire Jerome Powell over it. Do you remember that story? Well, now we’re adding a ballroom to the White House, costing two, three, some people say up to $500 million to add a ballroom to the White House. Do we need a ballroom to the White House? Do we need to have a mansion? Do we need to have a Versailles-style palace for the White House? Or should we have a White House that actually represents American values and not values of a king? And this is what it appears to the common person out there. I’m a common guy. I have over the years been able to work very hard and amass some money, which is able to do this show for free. But at the same time, I’m not filthy rotten rich. And even if I was filthy rotten rich, I would not be wasting people’s money on my own vanity. And that is what it just seems like it’s going on. This jet that came from Qatar, that 747, the money he’s making, or he says his sons are making, does that sound like Hunter Biden? From the coins and their investments around the world.

It seems like Trump wants all these companies to come back to America, which is not going to happen, by the way. It’s not even feasible for many of these companies because we don’t even have the workforce in place to be able to do these jobs. But he says he wants that back. And I think a lot of Americans would like to see American back doing a lot of manufacturing. My company manufactures, by the way, I am a manufacturer in America. But you want to know what? Because of Donald Trump, it’s actually forcing me to do manufacturing overseas as well, because I cannot manufacture in America and sell anywhere in the world because nobody, nobody, I’m sorry, wants to buy American products from America. We are being boycotted around the world. And I put a lot of money into an effort now that we are forced to produce in new factories that we are signing leases within Malaysia, in China, and one we already have in Italy. It’s not what I planned on doing, but this is what you got to do if you’re going to sell your product worldwide. It’s helping our company here and our employees here as well, because it helps stabilize our money situation when things are slow here and the business is very slow here, mainly because of tariffs, that we can get business around the world as well. This is what the whole idea of capitalism is about. This president is not a capitalistic president.

It is just simply not the case. He is not following traditional capitalism as he used to follow. He is now following what billionaires around him want to see. He is in favor of, it seems like, oligarchs around the world, like the Putins and the Xi Jinping’s of the world. And he is also beholden to and he admires the billionaires like the Elon Musk and the Bezos and all of these people from Google on and Amazon and people like that, that have hundreds of billions of dollars. And that is not what America is about. And I’m sorry, it’s not. And I keep seeing, and yesterday, I’m sorry, this morning, not yesterday, this morning, I did a 7-Eleven show that I repeated from February of 2025, when I first started predicting what I thought was going to happen. This is before the so-called Freedom Day in April, April Fool’s Day, it really was. This was back in February that I predicted the economy was going to go down because his policies were not sound and tariffs against Canada, especially, and other nations that are our allies was going to backfire. And they are backfiring. We’re seeing him retreating with China.

He’s even admitting that 100% tariff to China can’t be sustainable. Then why do it? And he is, it just, he is not being a president for the American people right now. He’s being a divisive president, not a uniting president. He’s got the country nearly at a civil war. That’s what Abraham Lincoln did. I know many people think Abraham Lincoln was one of the five greatest presidents of American history. I think he’s one of the five greatest felons of presidencies of American history. He did so many illegal acts, shredded the constitution, do a really good web search or go and look at the Plain Truth articles we have on our message board about Abraham Lincoln’s atrocities against freedom and the constitution and liberty. And you will see that maybe the civil war would have been avoided if someone other than Lincoln was elected because slavery was going away. The civil war was nothing to do about slavery anyway, but that’s another subject and we’ll get into it at a different time. But I just want to see an American people, the American middle class, which is going away and the American lower class get brought up into the middle class. That is not happening, my friends.

The top 10% of the people are acquiring all the wealth of this country. You have to go back to 1890 before Teddy Roosevelt became president to have a time where, so few people control so much money. And that’s what’s happening here. And it’s not good for America. One of the things that is happening in the last few weeks, I guess, in California where the fires, wildfires were in LA area, is wild animals are moving into the neighborhoods, including bears. And probably there’s going to be even worse creatures than that because a lot of their habitat has been taken away with those fires as well. Bears, especially, are scavengers more than probably any other animal but a dog.

And they’re going to go where there’s food and they’re going to go where there’s easy pickings. And bears, for the most part, get very used to people very quickly. And that can be a problem. And we’ll have to see what’s going to happen there. But California still has got their woes to go yet. And I think there’s more coming. And another tariff update. This is just going to ad nauseum. Here is a commercial I’m going to play that Canada played. And if you’ve been listening to The Plain Truth today, you know that I played all of these videos. I probably will play them again maybe next week, time to time, because Ronald Reagan was right about what tariffs are. And Donald Trump got really ticked off because of this commercial that you’re going to hear right now. That’s this morning’s show on CNN. 5 a.m. here in Washington, D.C., straight ahead on Early Start. President Trump again reiterating that the administration might start to strike inside of countries like Venezuela.

I don’t think we’re going to necessarily ask for a declaration of war. I think we’re just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. A takedown of an alleged gambling criminal enterprise linking four New York City mafia families and NBA stars. Your winning streak has ended. I’m very good at building ballrooms. I build beautiful ballrooms. Trump is in charge. The gold rush is coming and his ballroom blitz is finally on. We got a preview to the stories. I thought I’d just let him play for this show. But now we’re going to have a story about the Ronald Reagan. Those stories in a moment. But we begin with a surprise announcement from Donald Trump. The U.S. president says he is ending all trade negotiations with Canada all over a TV commercial. Here’s part of it. Let’s impose tariffs on foreign imports. It looks like they’re doing the patriotic thing by protecting American products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while it works, but only for a short time.

The president Trump goes on to say this. I’ll play this anyway. He goes on to say this is ridiculous. The government of Ontario. And as you hear, features former president Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about tariffs. Mr. Trump says the ad is fake, fraudulent and egregious. Well, the ad is not fake. It is not fraudulent. It is a real ad. I mean, it’s real radio shows that Ronald Reagan did back in the 80s about tariff. He did four of them that I’m aware of that we put on the plain truth when these tariffs started. Ronald Reagan understood what tariffs and the problems that they bring, especially the wars that they end up bringing. The great Smoot-Hawley tariff of the 1920s and 30s led to World War Two. There’s no disagreement about that amongst historians. And these tariffs that Donald Trump did, he can call this fake news. He can say it’s a fake commercial, but it was Ronald Reagan’s own words. You heard them. I’ll play them again maybe next week so you can hear them again. Tariffs are not good for this economy. Our economy is collapsing. I’ve been warning this now for months. I actually replayed this morning. I believe it was this morning. It’s going to go up.

I did this during the week. I put up for this morning, I believe a best of Bob, just going back and back to February and telling people that I did not see the Ronald Reagan that I saw the first time around. And I warned people back in February, after only one month in office, we have a different Trump and we are in a different problem that was going to be brewing. And everything that I predicted turned out to be quite accurate, I’m afraid to say. And now we’re going to go back to Warwood, Canada. It’s our closest neighbor. They’ve been our friends. And it’s going to hurt mom and pop businesses, especially those businesses that used to cater to Canadian tourists who spent a lot of money in America, in Florida. If you lived in Hollywood, Florida, like I did, you understood where the money came from .It came from the French Canadians. People didn’t like them down there at the time, but they sure liked spending their money. And the same thing with a lot of the Midwest and Far West cabins and stuff that Canadians rent during the summer months to go fishing or sports or even sometimes to the cities. And they are boycotting America. And there’s no two ways about it. They’re boycotting America. And that’s not going to be good for this economy, their economy and the world’s economy. And I’m afraid it’s going to lead to a world war before it’s over with. I’ll be right back.

Two world stories that we had on The Plain Truth, one on the message board, quite a few strings on the message board, and one on The Plain Truth main page is one about Argentina getting this $20 billion bailout and Trump allowing them to bring their beef here tariff-free to help harm the American rancher out there who has had a hard time with beef prices in the past two or three years, ever since COVID actually. And it’s just, once again, why are we bailing out Argentina? We’re trying to make Argentina great again, and that’s because he’s good friends with Donald Trump, and maybe Donald Trump’s going to have some investments there.

It just, again, it smells bad. But another really telling thing is if you watch or if you pay attention to the news and especially the articles on The Plain Truth for the last 18 years or these podcasts, by me anyway, about Germany and the future of Germany and Europe and the Holy Roman Empire when it comes to biblical prophecy, guess who China’s biggest trading partner was last year? No, it was not America, not because of Donald Trump’s tariffs. Our trading with China is way down. But who took up the task of trading with China and buying all these chemicals that are on tariffs and things like that? Germany. Germany became China’s single largest buyer, and the EU now is the largest buyer of all regions of the earth from China, and they have no problem with bringing in products from China. You take my business, and I tell you this all the time, the automotive paint business and the marine paint business and very high-end paint business, all of the raw materials other than solvents, but basically, and some of the solvents, by the way, but all of the raw materials basically are manufactured in China, and that is because the EPA and OSHA and government regulations from past mainly Democrat but some Republican administrations have chased away most of your raw material manufacturing in this country.

And I got news for Donald Trump and for you if you believe his lies about bringing all this manufacturing back to America. These companies are not going to come back here. They know his term is three years away, and he’s going to be replaced probably by a Democrat by the way he’s running. He’s really been the best thing that Democrats have to run on because Democrats themselves are so stupid. They don’t even know how to get on to a good message in order to win back the House, the Senate, and into the presidency because they’re too busy worrying about people that the Americans don’t worry about at all. But getting back to my point, these manufacturing raw material companies are not going to move back here. You’re talking about investing billions of dollars that takes 20, 25, 30 years to recoup their money and pay back their bank loans, and they’re going to come back to a Democratic administration. That’s probably what’s going to happen in 2028, the way things are going, and they’re going to be outlawed again, and the EPA is going to run them out of town. I buy one particular resin from a company, one of the last companies in America, U.S. polymers, that was forced to move most of their operations to places like Dominican Republic and Brazil and even, I don’t know about them, but others to China, and mainly China has got it because they do not go after their businesses like America does.

I have an operation in Italy right now, and believe it or not, as liberal and as leftist as the Italians are, even with this so-called conservative prime minister they have, they’re still pretty much leftist in their main body of government, but they are pro their own business. They don’t go try to shut down their businesses. They don’t look at businesses and do everything they can possibly do to shut them down like American regulators do. I’ve always said people in the EPA, for example, these are people that don’t even know what they’re doing. They come out of college. They just simply do not like capitalism. They’re liberals. They’re Democrats. They hate capitalism, and they hate people that are trying to do manufacturing in America, and what they do is they go in and they find every single legal loophole they can find to shut you down or cost you so much money you finally give up your hands and go elsewhere, and that’s what we had to do with my company as well, and every other company is doing the same thing. It’s part of how you survive in a world of bureaucrats who do not understand what they’re doing except they do understand one thing. They don’t want you to be in business, and big business who controls them because they have all the money is happy because they want. You can bet the big paint companies want me to sell out to them.

They’ll close my doors or go bankrupt because I say this over and over again. In 1980, when I got into this business, I believe there was 116 automotive type paint manufacturers in America, and the big five, which still exists, the big five had a 20% market share. Now, 40 years later, 45 now, but 40 years later, the last time I looked in 2020, there was 14 paint companies in the United States making automotive type paint.14 when there was 116 because they all shut down or got bought out by the big five, and right now the big five have a 99% market share of the automotive paint business in America. Do you understand why they like to see regulations put little guys like me out of business or force me to sell to them? This is not a government that is capitalist in form right now, and Donald Trump did not bring back middle-class capitalism as he did in his first administration, and it’s that simple. So Germany now is the biggest buyer from China, and keep an eye on Europe. Your Bible tells you, you want to know who the players are, the Holy Roman Empire is coming back, and it’s coming back, and it’s the beast, and it’s coming back as the king of the north, and you go to Daniel chapter 11, you’re going to the king of the north, and what’s going to happen? That’s your future. That’s the future headlines. I do not yet have a Sunday show. I sometimes like to have it for this Wrap-Up show at 7 11 p.m., and I probably will start doing that, but a lot of times over the weekend there’s very little news, and if there’s any good talk show or any good thing that we can put on the 7 11 a.m. because that’s the only show we have on Sunday is the 7 11 a.m. You can listen to it all day long and all next year if you want, but I didn’t pick one yet because I’m still waiting to see what’s happening.

There’s so much stuff happening this week behind the scenes that people don’t realize. I mentioned a few of them already in this broadcast, and so things could happen literally quite quickly, so I’m going to probably wait until Saturday, the Sabbath day afternoon before I really upload Sundays. I’m working on Monday morning program right now that’s going to be a YouTube that I is going to be very fascinating, but we’ll talk about that Monday.So tomorrow morning for the Sabbath show, it’s a little different than we’ve ever done for a Sabbath show in my opinion, but I think it’s a good history lesson and religious at the same time. Now I understand when I talk about this subject a lot of people are going to say, well you’re talking about Leonardo da Vinci and the Last Supper painting. That’s all Catholic, and I thought you didn’t really think very much of the Catholics and stuff like that and what their Baal worshiping programs.It has nothing to do with that. The story of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, first of all when I investigated this, and I’m a history lover, but I did not know this, it’s actually painted on a wall where monks would sit and eat their supper and their breakfast and they wanted behind them Jesus’s Last Supper, the last Passover, and it’s 30 feet wide and 15 feet tall on this wall. And I also didn’t realize most of the pictures you see of the Last Supper are color enhanced to make it look like it did you know 300, 400 years ago.

But when you really look at the real picture, it looks really washed out to me. But it gives you a very, very good, I think it’s 18 minutes long, a very good whole history lesson of Leonardo doing the picture and what moment in time that he decided to take. Remember during the Last Supper different things happened, but one specific thing happened that he decided was the most, I’ll let you in on it, that he decided was the most important thing of the whole Last Supper Passover meal, and that is when he announced that one of you among me will betray me and everybody is shocked. And so when you look at the Last Supper, I’ve noticed that people seem to be stunned or shocked. I didn’t understand what was really going on, and this explains it very well. It explains each of the characters, the reason they have the expression that they have. Both Judas and Peter are both putting their hands into the sauce at the same time when he said it’s the one who dips his bread into the sauce. And of course, Peter has to be worried after he denied Christ three times that he was that man, evidently in Leonardo’s idea. But anyway, I think it’s a very fascinating story.

It’s a little different for a Sabbath show that we do, but I think it’s still educational and I think God has everything to do with teaching us about everything, about everything that’s religious for that matter, even if it’s irreligious and it’s not what God wants. So anyway, that would be the morning show. Our 7-11 p.m. show is going to be an old-time radio show this week. We sometimes do old-time radio shows, and it’s really a Twilight Zone episode when it was on radio, not the TV. It’s very hard to get the full-length TV Twilight Zones on YouTube for free because they want to sell you, which I own personally, but they want to sell you the DVD sets, and they let you watch only like three or five minutes of any segment of the Twilight Zone. So this is one that I’ve seen many times on TV during those Twilight Zone marathons, and it’s called One for the Angels, and actually, it’s a good story for the Sabbath day. Let me put it that way. When you see that, when it says One for the Angels, you’ll understand if you listen to it. It’s a little longer than the TV show was, so they must have added some dialogue, but that’s tomorrow night at 7-11 p.m. on the Sabbath.
