Republican Ben Carson said Andrew Jackson, who is currently on the front of the $20 bill, should not be moved in the redesign put through this week because he was 'a tremendous president'.  

Former presidential candidate Ben Carson has questioned plans to put abolitionist Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill.

The Republican said Andrew Jackson, who is currently on the bill, should not be moved in the redesign because he was 'a tremendous president'. 

He suggested instead that Miss Tubman, an African-American who helped rescue slaves, should be put on a $2 note.
