Austin Roth served in the 12th Aviation Battalion from 2020-2023 as an instructor and evaluator pilot flying the same routes and aircraft involved in the fatal mishap with PAT 25 and AA5342 on 29 January 2025. He sat down and answered questions about what might have happened inside the cockpit of the Black Hawk. He’s also a current airline pilot that has flown into DCA in the Airbus.
