Not to dredge of the past, but to absolutely dredge up the past, please remind yourself of the paying off Michelle did with a former campaign staff member for sexual harassment as she is in the news for her tyrannical behavior of suspending the right to carry in NM. Oh, and lest we forget, remember when she spent taxpayer money on dry cleaning, and lots of alcohol? ~ JRV

Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan pays $150K to settle crotch grab claim

By Samuel Chamberlain of TheNewYorkPost

Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has paid $150,000 to settle a claim of sexual harassment from a former campaign spokesman, according to financial documents filed Monday.

A campaign finance report from April revealed that Lujan Grisham’s campaign had paid $62,500 to a law firm representing James Hallinan, who alleged that the then-gubernatorial candidate had poured a bottle of water on his crotch in front of other staffers during a meeting and then grabbed his genitals through his clothes while she laughed.

Monday’s filing included an updated schedule of payments amounting to $87,500 between April and September, bringing the grand total to $150,000. The Albuquerque Journal reported that the last payment was made Sept. 29.

Lujan Grisham, who served three terms in the House of Representatives before her successful 2018 run for governor, has repeatedly denied Hallinan’s claims, including that he struggled to find a job after leaving her campaign. Campaign spokeswoman Kendall Witmer said in a statement to the Journal that the settlement was reached last year “due to the expense of litigating business disputes and to prevent any distraction during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Claims it is a ‘public health order’

By WND Services

Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced a new public health order Friday that bans carrying firearms in Albuquerque.

The order will remain in effect for 30 days, and it bans non-law enforcement personnel from carrying firearms, either openly or concealed, regardless of whether any individual gun owner has a permit to carry. The public health decree applies to Albuquerque, the state’s largest city, and Bernalillo County, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican.

The decree states that “no person, other than a law enforcement officer or licensed security officer, shall possess a firearm … either openly or concealed, within cities or counties averaging 1,000 or more violent crimes per 100,000 residents per year since 2021.”

“There are literally too many people to arrest,” Grisham said in response to a reporter’s question during a press conference announcing the order. “If there’s an emergency, and I’ve declared an emergency for a temporary amount of time, I can invoke additional powers. No constitutional right, in my view, including my oath, is intended to be absolute.”

Numerous legal experts questioned the constitutionality of Grisham’s decision, with conservative legal pundit Johnathan Turley writing that “the order, in my view, is flagrantly unconstitutional under existing Second Amendment precedent.”

“This is completely unconstitutional. It’s also just logically nuts,” Amy Swearer, senior legal fellow for the Heritage Foundation, said of the order.

Albuquerque ranked as the tenth-most dangerous city in the U.S. in terms of overall violent crime in 2023, according to World Population Review. Grisham decided to impose the public health order after several recent shootings, including one which resulted in the death of an 11-year old child, according to a press release from her office.

Grisham’s administration issued the order through the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH). Approximately 46% of New Mexicans own firearms, according to statistics from World Population Review.

“As I said yesterday, the time for standard measures has passed,” Grisham said. “And when New Mexicans are afraid to be in crowds, to take their kids to school, to leave a baseball game – when their very right to exist is threatened by the prospect of violence at every turn – something is very wrong.”

Flashback: NM Governor Michelle Grisham Caught Using Taxpayer Money to Pay for Her Groceries, Whiskey and Tequila

by Jim Hoft The Gateway PUndit

In March of 2020 New Mexico Governor Michelle Grisham locked down her state due to the coronavirus threat. New Mexico was ranked 39th out of the 50 states in coronavirus cases at that time.

But after Grisham locked down the state she made a private call to her favorite jewelry store to make a purchase. Of course, she was able to do this because she is the Democrat governor.

But she got caught and started changing her story.

Then in 2021 the far left governor was caught using taxpayer money to pay for groceries, whiskey and tequila.

New Mexico’s Democrat governor is on the defensive after a report this week detailed her office’s spending from a taxpayer-supported expense fund.

Records show Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham spent nearly $13,500 over a six-month period in 2020 on items such as groceries, dry cleaning and alcohol, the Sante Fe New Mexican reported.

The booze spending included a purchase in September of more than $200 for five bottles of tequila, two bottles of vodka, two bottles of Merlot and single bottles of whiskey and gin, the report said.

In the same report, the newspaper disclosed that Grisham was hosting in-person staff meetings at the governor’s mansion at the same time that she was urging the public against mixing households in order to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

About half the $13,500 went toward food for the governor’s Cabinet members and staffers during those meetings, Grisham spokesman Tripp Stelnicki told The Associated Press.

On Friday Democrat Governor Grisham declared the First and Second Amendment null and void in her state.

On Friday, New Mexico’s tyrannical Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham declared gun violence a public health emergency in response to the shooting deaths of a thirteen-year-old girl on July 28, a five-year-old girl on August 14, and an eleven-year-old boy on September 6.

Grisham temporarily suspended open and concealed carry laws in Bernalillo County effective immediately.

This action directly infringes upon law-abiding citizens’ Constitutional right to bear arms. The Governor has carved out exceptions for licensed security guards and law enforcement officers.
