The recently released movie, GENESIS: Paradise Lost, is a very well-received production that attempts to impress on its viewers the validity of the creation story as is recorded in the book of Genesis. It has been shown in theaters across the country and has been seen by tens of thousands, perhaps millions.

In an age when the culture is enamored in the Satanic doctrine called Evolution, the Genesis movie is a welcome relief. But, despite its wide acclaim among Christians; there is something woefully missing. For at the end of God's marvelous acts of creation, the Scripture declares, "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made" (Genesis 2:1-3). Then He reminds us, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it" (Exodus 20:8-11).

You can't have creation without God's Sabbath. The same God of creation is the God of the Sabbath. He has bequeathed it to the creation (you and I) so that we may remember and serve Him as Creator. He bids you, "…worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters" (Revelation 14:7). Will you honor your Genesis Creator by following His Perfect Example
