Another blow to the ‘cosa nostra’.

It’s a never-ending battle between Italian law enforcement and the organized crime families controlling parts of the country, notably in the Mediterranean island of Sicily.

Today it arises that Italian authorities have seized over 200 million euros ($232 million) in assets linked to the late mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro’s drug trafficking network.

It’s what anti-mafia prosecutors described as a hit to the Sicilian Mafia’s financial power.
