Kat finally has renounced witchcraft, having come from a life of toying with the occult. Her baptism this week has made the headlines as she has made the life changing decision of surrendering her life to Jesus!

Kat had left her life in So Cal and now resides in a small town in Indiana with her husband and her son. Watching her reel in her town’s church on IG was really special.
“Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to His Divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” the pastor said before submerging a white robe-clad Von D.
Von D joyfully hugged him as she emerged from the water.

I am one of many who has been praying for Kat for years. Having recognized her talent as a musician and a make-up creator, I started watching her very honest and raw interviews about her life and about her journey with God. I could see that He was opening up her mind especially in an interview in 2020. She would express herself gracefully and thoughtfully time and time again and her journey has been quite easy to respect. Comment after comment on social media would be of encouragement for her to continue to search for God and many let her know they would be praying for her.

Even though there is still a great deal of support, some of her fans in between are telling her she is just swapping one ritualistic lifestyle, for another:
Those of us who know the Bible, the act of a water baptism is so very important to God. Why else would Jesus have been baptized?
The Baptism of Jesus – Matthew 3:13-17
13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
So, Who is Kat Von D?
It has been an important journey for Katherine von Drachenberg. She is now 41 and her upbringing is interesting to note that she was raised by Seventh Day Adventist missionary parents. For those that do not know much about her, her claim to fame has been as an extremely talented tattoo artist who made a name for herself on reality TV, specifically on the show called, LA INK. She was not shy about her affection for Satan, and we all watched her ride his coattails to fame. She grew up in Mexico and moved to So Cal as a child with her Argentinian parents having become a classical pianist. Aside from her life as an artist, she became a song writer and has recorded many albums. One of her more noteworthy songs as she was in the throes of some significant spiritual changes, is named EXORCISM. This had a release date of 2021:

“I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves,” she said.
She opened her post, reflecting, “I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realizations—many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past.”
Because of that realization, Von D went through her library and threw out every book on witchcraft, magic, the macabre, and tarot cards because they “don’t align” with her anymore.
In September last year, Von D wore a hat featuring a cross, as Movieguide® reported.
“My favorite hat of all time,” Von D captioned the Instagram story of her dark chapeau, which clearly displays a cross.
She first began changing her lifestyle in 2020 when she sold her beauty brand and began covering her tattoos.
In December 2020, she and her family moved to Indiana to escape California’s “terrible policies” and “tyrannical government.”
“…right now, it’s never been more clear to me that there is a spiritual battle taking place, and I want to surround myself and my family with love and light,” she said when she threw away her occult books.
She concluded the post by encouraging her followers to make “meaningful changes” in their lives.
“For her, that means engaging in the spiritual battle by throwing out books that bring darkness into her home and instead surrounding her family with ‘love and light,’” Movieguide® reported.
Fans celebrated Von D’s faith in the comments.

In Summary
The Plain Truth is that reading God’s Word and believing God’s words on the pages of scripture is where it is at. Leaving behind pagan origins of symbols and holidays that permeated my life on all levels was a process and that is my prayer for people like KVD. All the ins and outs of what she has truly let go of or still needs to let go of is not known but her proclaiming her relationship with Christ is noteworthy. And go figure, I had posted on that same baptism thread encouraging her to not let man tell her who God is but let His Word do that and wouldn’t you know it, I was immediately banned for an undisclosed number of days, and my post removed for “going against community standards”. Satan is alive and well.
That is the truth though…man does not need to give you their interpretation or speculation about what God is really saying in His Good Book. This is between God and you. We hope that our readership will be inspired to study the Bible in a way that focuses on just that…read what the words are saying and believe them!
And I always want to close with these truths…
It is true that every pagan belief and action is rooted in the worship of the sun, and it doesn’t take a lot of time to do some simple research to learn of such connections.
What Jesus says is paramount…
Jesus declared, “But in vain do they worship me, teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men”. Matthew 15:9
What does God say about customs, rituals and symbols?
Do not bow in worship to their gods, and do not serve them. Do not imitate their practices. Instead, demolish them and smash their sacred pillars to pieces. Exodus 23:24
You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol of any kind, or an image of anything in the heavens above,the earth below, or the waters under the earth.You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. Exodus 20:3-5
To those of us that are awake, how can we respond?
God loves us. (John 14:21) He wants the best for us. He wants to bless us and make our food amazing (Isaiah 1:19) and heal our land (2Chron 7:14) and take our sickness away (Exodus 23:25) and set us high above all the nations of the earth! (Deut 28:1)
Why would we not want to respond out of obedience to God?
God wants the best for His Family, for us, for we are His children! Why would we not want to choose obedience as this is the loving response and one that will continue to move us all in the right direction. God has said, “If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”. 2Chron 7:14
This moment in time is the perfect time to get on our knees and ask God to forgive us and to look for every opportunity to get closer to Him. This Country needs to start shifting and obeying the One that knows best and Who has commanded us to follow Him in very specific ways because He knows what is best for us.
