Inflation is the main issue on the minds of voters this November. This is shocking to Democrats, who were hoping the top issue would be anger over abortion being slightly limited in some states. Normal Americans are concerned with the cost of EVERYTHING they need to feed and support their families skyrocketting.
One bakery's (alleged) sign explaining to customers why things have gotten so expensive is going viral. It's also alarming.
It's unclear where this "alleged" sign is from, shared by a verified Twitter account with over 300,000 followers. In the name of "context," allow for the possibility someone scribbled numbers on a whiteboard and took a photo. It's not like government statistics haven't shown how much expensive everyday items have gotten. We've also heard from farmers warning us how expensive things will be getting because of how expensive the things needed to produce those things are
January 2021 is when Brandon was sworn into office. July 2022 is seventeen months later. In less than a year and a half:
- Flour went from $12.19 to $28.88
- Granulated sugar went from $25.69 to $34.59
- Powdered sugar went from $25.91 to $39.35
- Shortening went from $41-42 to $87-88
- Eggs went from $40 92 to $92.02
All the most basic ingredients to make… really, anything. The cost of more than half of those ingredients have more than doubled. That causes the cost of all the everyday items they make to double. Multiply that by everything you need to buy. Then listen to elitists say you should shut up about high food and gas prices.
Americans are struggling to provide for their families. Small businesses are struggling to afford to stay open. And the President of the United States wants you to know everyone in his party voted for a piece of legislation to make matters worse. All things to keep in mind as you decide your plans for November 8th.
