The Holy Bible 🤍 In Its Original Order – God's Words in RED: Part 1 The Law (The Plain Truth's Red-Letter Bible) – April 5, 2018
1In the beginning the Word (Jesus) already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He existed in the beginning with God.
3God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. (Jesus, not the Father, created EVERYTHING!)
4The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone.
5The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
6God sent a man, John the Baptist,
7to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.
8 John himself was not the Light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light.
9The One who is the true Light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. (This is Jesus)
10He came into the very world He created, but the world didn’t recognize Him. (This is Jesus)
11He came to His own people, and even they rejected Him. (This is Jesus)
12But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. (This is Jesus)
13They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
14So the Word became flesh (a human who was made in His own Image) and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. (The Godhead = Good the father and the Word. (This is Jesus).
….18 No one has ever seen God (The Father). But the Unique One (Jesus), who is Himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
53 The people said, “Now we know you are possessed by a demon. Even Abraham and the prophets died, but you say, ‘Anyone who obeys my teaching will never die!’
53Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?”
54Jesus answered, “If I want glory for myself, it doesn’t count. But it is my Father who will glorify me. You say, ‘He is our God,’ 55but you don’t even know him. I know him. If I said otherwise, I would be as great a liar as you! But I do know him and obey him.
56Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad.”
57The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?”
58Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!” (Notice "I AM", is not proper grammar. "I was," would be the correct verb IF He didn't mean it to be taken as the name for God. This is why the Jews tried to kill Him.
59At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus was hidden from them and left the Temple.
Why did they pick up stones? Because they understand what most Christians do not! Jesus said that His name was I AM!
Let's go back to Exodus, when God (who most wrongly assume was the Father God) spoke to Moses.
Moses and the Burning Bush:
1One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.
2There the Word of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up.
3“This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”
4When the LORD saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!”
“Here I am!” Moses replied.
5“Do not come any closer,” the LORD warned. “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground.
6I AM the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at God.
7Then the LORD told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering.
8So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.
9 The cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abuse them.
10Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.”
11But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?”
12God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”
13But Moses protested, “If I go to the people of Israel and tell them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what should I tell them?”
14God replied to Moses, “I AM Who I AM. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.”
15God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh (Hebrew for I AM who I AM) the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent Me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.
You can read for yourself the name for Jesus always is Yahweh or I AM. This makes John 8 clear as to who exactly Jesus claimed to be- THE GOD of the Old Testament!
