The Myth of Ebola

The Bible is very plain about death from diseases, and especially mass human deaths from epidemics. In human history, we have had worldwide flu outbreaks that destroyed millions of lives, we had the black death of Europe in the middle ages, when upwards to 25% of all people living in the area died from the bubonic plague. And let me make this clear right from the start, the Bible predicts hundreds of millions, if not a billion deaths from diseases during the coming tribulation that Jesus predicted would occur right before His return. 

In Matthew 24:7, Jesus said, “There shall be famines, and pestilences [strange diseases], and earthquakes in diverse places.” Do we see famines today? 10,000 people a day, or more than 3.5 million people per year die of starvation. Starvation and other effects of poverty lead to disease. Strange diseases are running rampant? Some diseases are becoming resistant to antibiotics. And new diseases appear for which science has no cure, AIDS, Mad Cow disease, the Ebola virus. Penicillin does work as well as it did at first in killing the bacteria normally associated with a variety of diseases which were devastating in the past. Diseases are now increasingly immune to the potency of the drugs used to combat them. They are actually growing and thriving in some bodies in a way that drugs cannot cope with. Medical authorities are seeing on the horizon a major catastrophe, or catastrophes plural, if new means cannot be found to cope with emerging mutant diseases.

That being said, Ebola IS PROBABLY NOT the mass human distinction disease. I think one of the major interests in Ebola deaths from the main stream media has more to do with the liberal left's desire to help the black man in Africa, just as the effects of AIDS was way overblown in the 90's, because the liberals were trying to use our money to help homosexuals.

It is the so-called conservatives panic on this subject that has me amazed! I expect th hype from liberals. What gets me, is that although Ebola could spread throughout the USA from STUPIDITY, it can not with just a small amount of proper medical control procedures. The way to stop Ebola is simply make the USA off limits to everyone that is traveling from the African region where Ebola is the worse. Everyone's passports reveal where each person has traveled. Simply do not allow anyone to enter the USA if they have been in the affected area within 6 months, or even a year… WHOOSH -problem solved.

The sad fact is that God has told us that OUR SINS will bring terrible diseases to the modern world, one of the largest medical conditions we face in the Modern World today is INFLAMATION. 15“But if you refuse to listen to the LORD your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you: The LORD will afflict you with diseases until none of you are left in the land you are about to enter and occupy. 22The LORD will strike you with wasting diseases, fever, and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, and with blight and mildew. These disasters will pursue you until you die. 

There you have it. Once again, this prediction by Jesus (as The LORD, here) predicted our problems nearly 3,500 years ago! The problems we face have a simple solution. Return to God and God's Laws. Elect smart leaders who have God given talents and intelligence to make the correct choices.

Ebola, seems more like a warning to wake up the sleeping masses of the epidemics to come. If that is the case, then it is good to be awakened. However, my fear is that once people see that the Ebola scare was hype, they will simply place their heads and necks back into the hole in the ground again and be oblivious to he coming dangers.
