Reaction turns harsh: ‘LGBTQ community is sinful by definition and must repent’

A hurricane has been stirred up for the Catholic Church, and other Christians, after a Vatican report purportedly about “controversial” issues within the church suddenly changed direction and described homosexuality as an “emerging” issue.
A story at the Federalist explains it was a 32-page report by Study Group No. 9 published by the Vatican’s General Secretariat of the Synod that left a multitude of faithful concerned, even outraged.
“The LGBTQ community is sinful by definition and must repent and change their behaviors,” one responded on social media.
Homosexuality is a sin, that’s church teaching. Always has been and always will. You agents of satan can’t change that.”
The report explained the study group included testimonies from those living a homosexual lifestyle who claim to have been wounded by the church’s teaching that homosexuality is “contrary to the natural law.”
The group had been assigned to examine “controversial” issues in the church, but then decided to frame homosexuality as “emerging.”
